Induction Class of 2013 – Athletic Director, Head Football Coach

Max Lynn was a long time teacher, coach and administrator at Clinton High School.  Lynn served as head football coach from 1944-1953, winning over 56 percent of his games.  Lynn also served as the Clinton High School athletic director until his retirement in 1969.

Lynn earned twelve letters at Parson College, played baseball at Columbia University and played semi-pro football, basketball, and baseball for several years.  Lynn also has been long recognized as an official in many sports at the high school and college levels.

The Clinton High School Hall of Fame is the sixth Hall of Fame which includes Lynn.  Lynn is a member of the Iowa Football Coaches Hall of Fame, Iowa Track Coaches Hall of Fame, Iowa High School Athletic Directors Hall of Fame, Iowa High School Basketball Hall of Fame, and the Iowa Officials Hall of Fame.
