Dick Farwell is a 1954 graduate of Clinton high School. Farwell who still held the single game, season, and career scoring records in basketball for decades. Farwell set the Mississippi ValleyConference scoring record and was voted 1st team All-State his senior year.
Farwell was elected to the Iowa High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.After high school Farwell lettered in basketball and golf at Iowa State University. Farwell also served as the president of the River King & Queen Athletic Booster Club for over thirty years, raising over 8 million dollars for the athletic department.
