Gary Morris – Class of 1955
Induction Class of 2013 – Swimming
Gary Morris is a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School. Morris was a six-time high school All-American. After high school, Morris became a member of the University of Iowa swim team where he was a seven-time All-American, three-time Big Ten Champion, and National Champion, winning the NCAA Championship in the 50 yard freestyle in 1958. Morris also qualified for the 1956 Olympic Trials. Morris was selected to the Iowa High School Swimming Hall of Fame in 1979 and the University of Iowa Hall of Fame in 2008.
