Chuck Curtis – Class of 1970
Induction Class of 2014 – Track & Field
Curtis is a 1970 Clinton High School graduate. Curtis was a member of two state championship track teams for the River Kings. He was an individual state champion in the 220 and 440 in 1970. Curtis’s 440 time tied the all-time state record.
After graduation, Curtis attended the University of Wisconsin where he lettered four times and was an All-American in 1973 and team captain in 1974. Curtis was a member of the University of Wisconsin two mile relay team that set a world indoor record with a time of 7:19.8 at the Houston Astrodome in 1974.
