Amanda Koester – Schroeder is a 1998 graduate of Clinton High School. As a multi-sport athlete, Amanda participated in volleyball, basketball, swimming, softball, and track and field. She excelled in the sport of track and field, as she is a two-time Class 3A State High Jump Champion (1997 and 1998). She was also a member of the Class 3A State Runner-up Shuttle Hurdle Relay Team in 1998.
Throughout Amanda’s River Queen career, she collected many track and field honors including All-State and District Champion, as well as many Mississippi Athletic Conference championships in high jump, long jump, and the shuttle hurdle relay. In addition, Amanda was a member of the 1998 girls’ basketball team that advanced to the state tournament.
After graduating from CHS, Amanda attended the University of Northern Iowa where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She was a member of the UNI Panther Track and Field team from 1998-2002. During the 2001 season, Amanda was a Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference high jumper as she finished runner-up in the conference outdoor meet.
Currently, Amanda is teaching in the East Moline (IL) School District at Glenview Middle School. Amanda and her husband Andy, have two daughters Amara and Alyssa.
