Ethan Holmes is a member of Clinton High School’s graduating class of 2009.

Ethan excelled in the sport of Track and Field as he captured two state titles and five State Runner-up finishes during his career.  In 2008, he was the 4A State Champion in the 400 Low Hurdles, and then, in 2009, was the 110 High Hurdles champion.  Ethan collected nine State medals (400 LH, 110 HH, 4×200, 4×400) and is considered a seven time 1st Team All-State performer.  He also was the Drake Relays Champion in the 400 Low Hurdles in 2009.

In addition to his success at the state meets, Ethan is a seven time Mississippi Athletic Conference Champion and currently holds the MAC and CHS record time in the 400 Low Hurdles.  Outside of the Drake Relays and state meets, Ethan never lost a hurdle race during his junior or senior years.

Holmes continued his athletic career at the University of Iowa, where he was a Big Ten Conference Champion and an NCAA All-American.  He also competed at the USA Championships and the Olympic Trials.

Ethan currently resides in Denver Colorado with his fiancé, Kari Kuehl, and works as a construction consultant.
