Last month, the construction on the Duke Slater Statue project started with stamped concrete work and areas of donation bricks. The pedestal will be poured in the near future and the statue is in the process of being created. The statue should be finished and delivered by this summer with a dedication ceremony planned at the start of the 2024 football season.
The second initiative of the Duke Slater Committee is establishing a scholarship opportunity for future CHS graduates in Duke's name. The committee has established proceeds from the brick donors along with a future major fundraising event to help fund the scholarships. If you are interested in the donor brick initiative, there are three funding levels of $100, $175, or $325 dependent on the size of the brick.
