The Young Americans three day workshop starts this Thursday after school in Yourd Gym. It will culminate in a public performance on Saturday night starting at 6:00 pm. The first half of the show will be the Young Americans which will be an off-Broadway level performing art experience. The second half will feature the CCSD students that participated in the workshop with the Young Americans in supporting roles.
Admission prices for the public performance is $12 for adults, $10 for students and children under the age of 5 are free. Tickets will be available before and after the workshop on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Doors will open at 5:30 pm on Saturday with tickets available then as well.
I am still in need of either one household willing to be a homestay for four Young Americans or two families willing to take two each. If you are willing to open your home, please contact me at gary.delacy@csdkq.org.
This workshop is open to all interested students in the CCSD in grades 4-12. The cost of the three day workshop is $100. Financial assistance is available for those students where the cost is a barrier and would lower the cost to $50. Registration will be open until Thursday at 4:00 when the worshop will begin.
