Sarah Erwin Named Principal of Eagle Heights Elementary School

The Clinton Community School District is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Sarah Erwin as the next principal of Eagle Heights Elementary School. With a strong background in student support services and educational leadership, Erwin brings a wealth of experience in fostering inclusive learning environments and implementing innovative strategies to enhance student success.
Erwin currently serves as the At-Risk Coordinator at Clinton High School, where she has been instrumental in developing intervention programs, improving student engagement, and increasing graduation rates. Her expertise in data-driven decision-making, collaboration with educators and families, and commitment to student centered learning has had a lasting impact on the District.
Mrs. Erwin graduated from Clinton High School in 2000. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Mount St. Clare College, a Master’s in Special Education from Morningside University, in Sioux City, IA, and a Certificate in Principal Preparation from American College of Education in Indianapolis, IN.

I am confident that under her guidance, the school will continue to thrive and provide an exceptional environment for staff to excel instructionally and students to learn in.”
Erwin’s career in education spans various roles, including Alternative Learning Teacher at Northeast High School, Special Education Teacher with Camanche Schools, and Special Education/At-Risk Teacher at Jefferson and Bluff Elementary Schools.Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to supporting diverse student needs, creating individualized learning pathways, accountability, and strengthening partnerships between schools, families, and the community.
“I am honored to join the Eagle Heights Elementary team and excited to work alongside such dedicated educators, students, and families,” said Erwin. “I look forward to building on the school’s strong foundation and fostering an environment where every student, staff member, and caregiver feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.”
