Clinton Community School District - River Kings and Queens

The Clinton Community School District (CCSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Jill Bresnan as the principal of Whittier Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025.

Ms. Bresnan currently serves as the principal at Grant Wood Elementary School, in the Bettendorf Community School District. Before this position she served as the Middle School Dean of Students in the Maquoketa Community School District. Additionally, she has experience as an instructional coach and English teacher.

A native of Clinton, Iowa, Bresnan graduated from Clinton High School in 1998. She earned a B.A. in Secondary Education from Mount St. Clare College, followed by a Master’s in Education with a focus on Literacy & Learning from Walden University in Minneapolis. She also holds a Master’s in Educational Instructional Leadership from Dordt University, in Sioux Center, IA.

Bresnan is a dedicated and innovative educational leader committed to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment. She focuses on continuous growth for both students and teachers, encouraging open communication, fostering strong relationships between all stakeholders, while prioritizing student achievement and professional development.
