The Riverking soccer team traveled to Davenport North to take on the Wildcats last night. JV kicked things off with a very intense match. The boys generated several good looks at goal, and defended well for a majority of the match. Two late goals for the Wildcats gave the kings a 2-0 loss on the night. Saul Xique Marcos, Gabriel Rocha, and Landon Bork all rotated time in goal and contributed with several great saves. Randyn Mielke also had the right side of the defense locked down all game long. The Varsity boys came out well, but struggled to respond after going down early. The wildcats used quick, sharp passing to pick the defense apart. The boys lost 10-0 on the night. Lincoln Hinrichs was a bright spot and the team's man of the match. He played tough, physical defense and consistently tried to will the team forward on the attack. BJ Cooley also made several incredible saves in goal. The kings look ahead to a trip to Davenport West on Monday.
