  • Join Pride Club for their upcoming game & karaoke night on Thursday, May 22nd. This will take place in rooms A115 & A116 right after school until 6 pm.  There will be Mario Kart, Karaoke, board games and more. Bring your friends and join the fun before the end of the school year!


  • There will be NO Deli today. The lunch staff are short handed.


  • Clinton Junior Baseball will be holding an umpires meeting tomorrow May 17th at Noon at Honeywell Field. Anyone interested in umpiring this year must be at this meeting.


  • Last night the River Queen Track and Field team traveled to Dav. Assumption for the district track meet. The Queens had an amazing night on the track and in the field they automatically qualified in six events and will find out today if they made it in the others as an at-large bid. Placing 3rd as a team last night the following girls placed in the meet.  Emme Jensen 6th place open 100.  Camile Hunter 6th place open 200. Carryn Sattler 1st place state Qualifier open 800.  Alli Haskell 2nd place state Qualifier 1500.  Aubrey Rivers 7th place 1500. Sescie Haan 3rd place 400 low hurdles. 4x100 team of Jensen, Carpenter, Determan, Russell 7th place.  4x200 team of Hill, Hunter, Carpenter, Whitney 4th place. 4x400 team of Steiner, Sattler, Haskell, Haan 4th place. 4x800 team and State Qualifiers Sattler, Steiner, Rivers, Haskell 2nd place. Sprint Medley team of Jensen, Determan, Russell, Samuels 6th place. Distance Medley team of Hill, Hunter, Steiner, Sattler 2nd place. Shuttle Hurdle team of MacAvoy, Carpenter, Bedford, Williams 5th place. Elle Lonergan 1st place State Qualifier High Jump. Lauren Whitney 7th place High Jump. Joselyn Petersen 4th place Long Jump. Aubrey Fergurson 1st place and State Qualifier Shot Put. Zoey Seitz 6th place shot put. Aubrey Fergurson 5th place Discus. Maloree Byrns 8th place Discus. The Coaching Staff is very proud of you all and can't wait to see you next week in Des Moines at the State meet. We will know later today if anything else makes it.


  • The Queens were against some stiff competition yesterday but it made them then raise their level of play. Although the Queens finished in 6th place they managed to put together their best team score this season and some of their best individual scores. Whitney Naughton, Olivia Parker, Olivia Veenstra, and A’Reyae Jetter scored for the team shooting a 431, the best 18 hole score in the last 10 years for Clinton High. The Queens have their District meet next Wednesday.


  • QUEENS WIN!! QUEENS WIN!! Last night, the Clinton River Queens soccer team hosted the Rebels from Northeast High School and dug out a huge 4--0 WIN on the Queens' Senior Night!!  Leading the charge for the Queens was Senior captain Diana Marcos who recorded 2 goals. Also scoring were Senior captain Sophia Costello with 1 goal and Junior Kaylie Hays with 1 goal. Sophomore Jayda Skiff recorded 2 assists on the evening aid the winning effort! The Queens recorded a total of 21 shots on goal from 7 different players!  Thanks to all of our families and friends who came out to support the girls on Senior night!  The Queens are back in action on Monday night as they host DeWitt in the final match of the regular season here at home. The Varsity starts at 5:00pm with the JV game to follow.  Thank you to our families and friends who came out to support the Queens last night and celebrate the big "W"!!!


  • The boys soccer team travelled to take on DeWitt on Thursday night. The boys started out strong for the first 15 minutes, controlling the game and dominating possession. The Sabers managed a quick counter attack to get their first goal of the night, and took advantage of the Kings' drop in intensity to make it 5-0 before the half. The boys regrouped and showed much more quality in the second half to hold the scoreline at a 5-0 loss on the night. Randyn Mielke was the team's Man of the Match on the night. Randyn came in as a substitute and led by example by playing tough, physical defense and never giving up on a play. Next up for the kings is a trip to Burlington on Monday to take on the Grayhounds in the first round of 3A substate.


  • Last night the River King Track and Field team competed in the 3A district meet. The varsity Kings competed against some of the fastest teams in the state and finished fifth while having twenty-four PRs. Placing high for the varsity squad were: 2nd Place: and automatic state qualifier Maddux Cooley, 100m, PR.  3rd Place:  Jay Dodd, long jump, PR. 4x200 relay of Ceion Currin, Maddux Cooley, Ronnie Abbott-Lutton, Jayden Krogmann, PR.  4th Place:  Shuttle hurdle of Ethan Carpenter, Max Smith, Jay Dodd, and Carter Dunham, PR. Cole Shannon, 400m. 4x100 of Currin, Cooley, Abbott-Lutton, Shannon, PR. 4x400 of Krogmann, Lorion, Shannon, Joey Anderson, PR. Jadis Franklin, discus.  5th Place:  Sprint medley of Cooley, Abbott-Lutton, Shannon, and Krogmann. Marshall Johnson, high jump. Kayden Brannum, long jump, PR. Logan Lorenzen, shot put. Josh Orr and Konnor Schroeder added PRs in the 200m dash.  The Kings await the State reviewed results to see what athletes make the at-large bids. Great job Kings.
