On Friday night, the River Queens soccer team traveled to Mount Vernon to take on the Mustangs in round one of post-season regional play. The Queens kept it tight early with tenacious defense. The match was tied 0-0 entering halftime thanks to nine saves by Senior Captain Livia Watters. The Mustangs broke the scoring drought with a wicked goal on a bending corner kick. The Queens could not mount much of an offensive attack managing just two shots on goal, and lost the game 3-0.
