  • Nominations are now open for the 2025 CHS Homecoming Court!  In your email, you will find a form to select students from your class who are actively involved in CHS activities and who best represent our Trident Ideals: Fighting Spirit, Tradition, and Loyalty. These nominees will represent your class as River Kings and Queens on this year’s Homecoming Court.  Nominations close Friday, September 19 at 4:00 PM.


  • Jostens met with the senior class this week to review important graduation information. If you were unable to attend, you are required to pick up your graduation packet at the front desk immediately.  Jostens will return on Wednesday, the 24th, during Mentoring in the auditorium to collect graduation orders. All seniors must submit their graduation orders either in person during this time or online in advance at Jostens.com.


  • Future Ready Planning Night is on Wednesday, Sept 24 from 5-7 pm in the CHS practice gym. There will be a financial aid presentation and representatives from many different after high school options such as further education, Military, and local employers.


  • FBLA meeting Today September 18th 2nd flex.   It is important to be in attendance, please plan on being there on time.  Final discussions about the October leadership conference will take place.


  • Attention girls, if you are interested in wrestling this year, there will be a meeting today September 18th in Coach Schneeberger's room tomorrow during Flex 2 (12:08-12:46). Please plan on attending if you want to wrestle. See Coach D Schneeberger with any questions!


  • Sign up for The Homecoming Dance has started. After you have signed up, stop in the library to make sure your response went through and to check on your requirements. Unless you haven’t missed any class time other than for school activities don’t assume your attendance is good. If you are unsure about what fees you need to pay, check the TV slide or ask in the library.


  • Homecoming is only a few weeks away - October 4th. The Royalty Rack is a collection of formal wear, including dresses, dress shirts, shoes, etc., that is completely free for you to take to use for dances and/or interviews. If you are interested in seeing what all we have to offer, please reach out to Mrs. Leafgreen at christina.leafgreen@csdkq.org.


  • After-School Tutoring is being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 in the New Library!  There is no cost.  We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend! If you need to get grades up for Homecoming or to keep from falling too far behind this is the place to be.


  • Attention CHS Students and Staff! HOCO T-Shirts are on sale! Get your shirt before the store closes September 19th! Check your email for the link from Mrs. Warren, Visit clintonhomecoming.com, or See the TV’s for a QR code to order before it is too late!  Again the store closes on Sept. 19th.


  • Rowden, Cewe, Srp, Manikowski, and Bengtson all won a round at the individual state qualifying tournament.  Elizabeth Grinnall won all her matches,  and was the 1st place singles winner to go to state out of regional 8.  We wish her the best at state in October!  Next the Queens will start team tennis tournament on the 24th.  Go Tennis Queens!


  • The River Kings played at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf today.  Team medalist for the Kings was Scott Pasakarnis with a 93.  Also scoring for the Kings were Carter Thorpe, Ray Brown, and Maverick Hensel.  The Kings finished in 15th place out of 16 teams in what proved to be a tough course for most of the players.  They did learn some things though that will help them as they approach their busiest weeks with the MAC Conference tournament coming up and playing 5 meets in a 10 day span.  Go Kings!
