They finish up their season this Friday against Davenport West for senior night at Coan Field. Come out and cheer on the Kings one last time and send our seniors off with a win. Go Kings!

  • On Friday night, the River Kings traveled to take on the Bobcats of Western Dubuque. The Sophomore squad started the action, finding themselves in a tight battle with a tied 0-0 score at the end of the first quarter. The Kings finally broke the game open with a 57 yard touchdown run by Julian Davis around right end to put Clinton up 7-0. Next up for the Kings was Isaiah Lines who scored on a 14 yard run. Right before halftime, Kenan Bailey returned an interception 80 yards for a TD, bringing the score to 21-0 at halftime.  Western Dubuque mounted a comeback in the second half, finally scoring in the 3rd quarter. The Kings answered with a 2 yard run by quarterback Liam Petersen. A late fumble recovery by Bastien Balous and an onside kickoff recovered by Cayden Yarolem secured the WIN over Western Dubuque 29-22, bringing the Sophomore Kings record to 6-2 on the season!!  Come out this Friday to catch the final game of the season for Clinton as we host the Falcons from Davenport West high school!
