  • The Queens made the short postseason trip to DeWitt last night as they faced the Sabers. The Queens started off great, playing a clean set 1, winning 25-22. Sets 2 and 3 were a different story as the Queens fell apart losing 20-25, 15-25. The Queens were challenged after the set 3 loss and with their backs against the wall, they did not disappoint in set 4 as they rallied back to win 25-22. For the third consecutive year, the Queens and Sabers would go to a 5th set. And like the past two years, the Queens rose to the occasion, making winning plays, one after another. The Queens didn't get to point 5 or point 10 first, but they were resilient with a thrilling 16-14 set 5 victory and match winner. The team played to win and the Queens had team season highs totals with 45 assists, 47 kills, 55 digs, and a 2.07 passer rating (3.0 scale). It was a total team effort. Joselyn Petersen led the Queens with 19 kills, followed by Maggie House with 11 kills. Haylee House led the offense with 33 assists. Tenley Cewe had a season high 15 digs, while Haley Thomas led the passing with an impressive and season high 2.55 passer rating (3.0 scale). Great Job Ladies!  The Queens will travel to overall #1 seed, Solon on Thursday night at 7:00pm.
