DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday Nov 13 2025

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

  • Book Club will meet on Monday, Nov 17th during both flexes.  Aim to have read up to chapter 7.

  • Students: During lunch/flex you either need to be off campus, in the commons, or in your flex/classroom. As it gets colder outside we have more students staying inside and we can not have you roaming or sitting in the hallways.

  • Students have the opportunity to visit the Plumbing and Pipefitters Union on Tuesday, December 2nd. Before the union visit, we will stop at the Blong Technology Center to explore credit and non-credit programs in Engineering Technology, Additive Manufacturing, CNC Machining, Truck Driving, Welding.  This is a great chance to see hands-on career paths and training opportunities in the skilled trades. For more information or to reserve your spot, please email Marla Schultz at marla.schultz@csdkq.org. Space is limited — sign up early!

  • On Saturday, November 22nd, iJAG will host African Vibes in the Clinton High School Theatre from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event will feature Samuel Nalangira, a master Ugandan folk artist and multi-instrumentalist.  The program will include African drumming, a dance workshop, and a folk music concert. This event is free and open to the public.  African Vibes is proudly sponsored by Afriwell Hub, iJAG, the Vince Jetter Community Center, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Iowa Economic Development.  Come out and support this exciting cultural event!

  • Attention FBLA.... Our meeting for this week will be during the second flex Today.  WE will be working on completion of our registration for district and state leadership conferences.  We also will be deciding on appropriate fundraising for our club.  Be ready to check your calendar for available dates.

  • Attention, attention: Your last chance to audition for Large group speech is tonight from 7-8 p.m. Please enter through the back theater door. Speech is like competitive theatre, where different student groups perform in categories like acting, musical theatre, readers theatre, and more. Students interested in auditioning didn’t have to attend an information session. Don’t miss out on the fun!

  • Attention Volleyball Players: Please turn in all uniforms and backpacks ASAP. Please check Google Classroom for our banquet date and player awards. It should only take 2-3 minutes, but is due on Friday by the end of the school day.

  • The November “Read a Latte” will be on Friday, Nov. 14th during both flex times.

  • After-School Tutoring is being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 in the New Library!  There is no cost.  We have staff in most of the core classes available!
