The short handed River King swim team was on the road last night against Davenport Central. In a hard fought, exciting meet that came down to the last relay, the Kings fell just short to the Blue Devils 67-60. Highlighting the night was the medley relay of Asher Dornbush, Jace Burgland, Vinnie Srp and Dylan Todtz with the event win, a 1-2-3 finish in the 50 free by Todtz, Srp and Burgland, and a win in the 100 back by Dornbush. Despite the tough loss to the traditionally strong Central team, a number of Kings had season and lifetime best swims as they battled hard. The Kings are back in action Thursday, 12/18, against Bettendorf at the Kings and Queens Aquatic Center.
Winners of the Door Decorating contest are in no particular order: Hayton. French/ C. Scott/ Franks. McEwen.
