  • Attention all participants! Get ready to deck the halls all week long with our holiday spirit dress-up days. Here is the schedule of events:

Thursday: "Sweater Weather" Time to shine in your favorite ugly Christmas sweater or holiday sweater.

Friday: "Silent Night" End the week in comfort—wear your coziest holiday pajamas!

  • Today's the day: Learn how YOU can be a part of Clinton High School's individual speech team by coming to the theater during Flex 1 or Flex 2. See you there!

  • Please check the “Lost and Found” if you have lost something. The gray tote outside the library is overflowing with clothing & coats. With the cold weather here you are going to want to reclaim those.

  • “Read a Latte” is today during both flexes. The Clinton Public Library will be bringing in a craft to do.

  • Attention students interested in becoming an electrician. Mr. Terry Van Hook, with the Quad City Electrical Training Center, is here today, December 17, during both flexes. Students wanting to hear from Mr. Hook and learn more about the trade are welcome to visit room S144 during the first flex. He will then be in or near the commons area during the second flex.

  • iJags 4th Annual 2 ball basketball tournament! Last day to get signed up!! Games will be played during both flexes Dec 19 with the championship game played during the Pep assembly. See your email or the TVs for the QR code or see Mrs. Harris to register your pair. $5 per player.

  • The Clinton River Queens Junior Varsity wrestled at the Cedar Rapids Kennedy Girls Invitational on Monday. The girls showed growth in their matches, improving their technique and overall wrestling flow as they competed against tough varsity competition from Iowa City Liberty, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Benton, Cedar Rapids Xavier, Dubuque Senior, and Keokuk. The team continues to put in the work in the wrestling room, and it is showing. The future of River Queen Wrestling is bright! The Clinton River Queen wrestlers travel to DeWitt on Friday for the Saber Girls Invitational at 4 pm.   • The River King Boys Basketball were on the road against Pleasant Valley last night. The Freshman squad opened up the night against a tough PV freshman team competing hard, but ultimately fell to a score of 64-21. The RK basketball Sophomore team faced a tough challenge on the road against Pleasant Valley, The kings battled during the game, down 6 at the half. The Spartans offensive shooting proved to be too much for the kings, who fell 63-31 in what proved to be a learning experience for the young squad. RK Basketball Varsity faced a challenging test on the road against Pleasant Valley Varsity, falling 73-31 in a tough away game. Marshall Johnson led the offensive effort for the Kings with a season high of 18 points going 8-14 from the field. All three levels are back in action this Friday at home in a boy-girl doubleheader versus Central DeWitt as they close out the first half of the season. Go Kings!
