The Queens move to 12-8 on the season and host Muscatine on Tuesday in a boy-girl doubleheader.

  • Last Friday the River Kings traveled to Davenport West in a MAC conference matchup. The freshman boys kicked off an exciting night of basketball in a battle. The freshman did a great job of sharing the ball, making great passes to get open looks, but fell short on the final possession of the game 46-49. The freshman boys continue to improve and are playing well late into the season. The sophomores followed up the exciting game in a shootout. Finding themselves in a hole early, they battled back to take the lead into half time. In what continued to be a game of runs, the sophomores fell to a final push from the Falcons on a score of 74-79. The Varsity Kings continued their streak of good basketball Friday night. Hitting open looks, sharing the ball, and playing great team defense propelled the Kings into a final score of 61-34. Friday night marked the first road win for the Kings this season. The Kings have a full week of basketball, With Muscatine at home Tuesday, Maquoketa at Home Thursday, and capping off the week on the road Friday at Assumption. Go Kings!
