With an increase of students habitually parking in the designated staff lot (next to the academic wing) and staff area of the south lot (behind the new theater) we are increasing those fines in those areas to $25 from $10 starting Monday 2/16/26. Students parking in the student lot without a permit will still be fined $10. Plan your time wisely so you have enough time to walk from the student lot.
Please check the due date on your library books. If they are overdue (the books checked out at the beginning of the semester or before are) and you are still reading them please stop in and get them renewed, otherwise please return them so someone else can read them.
CHS Boys Tennis will be having an informational meeting this Friday, February 13th in the commons at 1:35pm. Please join us if you're interested in joining the team for the spring season!
Singing Valentines are back! CHS choir students will be delivering Singing Valentines this Friday, February 13th. Stop by the choir room S152 to place your order. CHS Valentines cost $5 and Community Valentines cost $25.

Clinton High will be offering the ACT on April 7th at the National Guard Armory. It will be offered for half price, $29, IF all requirements are met with ACT Prep. Please pick up a contract from Mrs. Klinkhammer and return with check or cash before February 13th at 1:45.
The Camanche Trap Team is starting the 2026 spring trap shooting season in a few weeks. There is an Informational meeting Thursday, February 19th at the Imperial Lanes in Camanche at 6:30pm. This is open to students from any school 5th -12th grade. Questions or can’t make the meeting call Coach Adam Frahm 563-212-6187.

After-School Tutoring is being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 in the New Library! There is no cost. We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend!
The River Queens are enjoying a nice home stretch at the end of the regular season and had a night full of scoring and records being broken. In the JV game, the Queens came out strong and ended up with 10 girls entering the scoring column. Scoring leaders were Tenley Cewe with 13, Lilly Scheeberger with 9, Phoebe Levine and Addy Cramm with 8, and Audry Gruhn with 7. Violet Hensel led all rebounders with 9 and Gruhn added 6 while Cewe added 7 steals and Schneeberger added 5. The JV Queens play their last game of the season tonight at home. The Varsity Queens came out Tuesday night wanting to show that they are a team that is serious about making a run in the post-season and won 91-27 in a game that saw multiple records being broken. The Queens had four players in double-figures. Jhaliana Guy led all scorers with 32, Carryn Sattler, Alli Haskell, and Aubrey Fergurson with 13, and Olivia Schneeberger added 7. Rebounding leaders were Fergurson with 11 and Sattler with 7. Guy added 7 assists along with 8 steals and Haskell contributed 7 steals also. Records that were broken last night included team and individual. The Queens broke their own record of points in a half scoring 57 and also scored 91 points for the game breaking the previous record of 80 set in 2009-2010. The Queens also set the record for largest margin of victory at 65 points. Individually, Jhaliana Guy set the single season scoring record passing former Creighton standout Kelsey Crites (2004-2005 season). She is currently at 490 points. Guy also has become the Clinton all-time leader in 3 pt makes in just one season breaking the record of 83 set by current assistant coach Megan Gandrup. She is currently at 85. Guy is also on pace to break the season record for highest Free Throw % sitting at 90.5% with the old record at 81.5% and holds multiple CHS scoring records already including most points in a quarter, a half, and a game along with most 3 pointers in a game. Aubrey Fergurson is already the Career Rebounding Queen and continues to build on her 747 rebounds. She holds the Career Offensive Rebound record with 359 and is 4 Defensive rebounds away from taking over the record currently held by Stacy Boerema. The Queens host Assumption on Thursday night in a boy-girl doubleheader where the Kings will host Maquoketa. Come and watch both teams in the last regular season game of the season for the girls as they make the end of their season at home against a MAC foe whom the Queens haven't beat since 2006! We need to pack the gym!
