Attention students interested in joining the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union. Mr. Chuck McKnight- Training Coordinator for the Local Union 25 Plumbers & Pipefitters will be at CHS on Monday, April 6, during 3rd block (12:51 -2:11) in Mr. Lamb's room S142. Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in becoming an electrician. We will have a site visit to the Quad City Electrical Training Center in Moline, Illinois on Friday, April 10. This will be the visit to the Local 45 training facility. Seating is limited. See Jim Bengtson, in the library office, for further details.
SADD will be having their Blood Drive on March 25. You can donate if you are 16 with a parent consent form or if you are 17+, you are good to go! See the TVs or the fliers around the building for a QR code to sign up. Questions ask Mrs. DeVries.
The game club will meet today from 3:40 to 5:15 pm.
An admissions rep from Luther College will be visiting the counseling office on March 26 at 1:00pm. Please let Mrs. Klinkhammer know if you would be interested in meeting with them.
CHS River Queen soccer -- complete your registration this week by logging into "Bound" and getting signed up! You must have all forms completed in "Bound" in order to join us on day 1. First day of practice is today, March 23rd at the CHS athletic complex. Be ready to go by 4:30pm. Dress appropriately for the weather, remember your cleats and shin guards. The Quad City Electrical Training Center is excited to participate in the Heavy Metal Summer Experience program by hosting a one-week camp this summer, from June 22-26th! HMSE was designed to introduce students and recent graduates ages 16-19 to high-paying, zero debt career opportunities in the building trades through hands-on experiences with industry pros. It’s a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills and spark a lifelong passion for a successful future. The best part? It’s FREE for all participants. Tonight at 7:00 one of our River King Basketball seniors Marshall Johnson has a chance to represent our community and school in the Iowa Illinois All Star Game. The game features the best senior players from the MAC conference as well as the WB6 in Illinois and is played at Augustana College in Rock Island. You can watch the game on the local MC22 channel. Congratulations Marshall on the accomplishment and good luck!
