“Out of School Date” forms for Prom are already available in the library. If you plan to bring a date who doesn't go to CHS/EAC stop in and get an “Out of School Date” form, get it filled out, & returned as soon as you can before April 24th. Make sure you also sign up on the google form once it is sent out (April 6th).
Today March 24th all Agriculture classes should report to the welding shop!
Book Club will meet on Wednesday, March 25th during both flexes to discuss the first 11 chapters of the book.
Girls soccer - today's practice will be in Yourd gym starting at 4:00pm. Tennis shoes only, no cleats needed today. We will also be in the weight room for part of the practice.
FBLA...... We have our state practice night tomorrow. Please plan on attending at 6.... Mr. Pataska's room.
Next Monday Synergy is hosting a coin drive for My Gear Outreach, a program that supports foster kids when going into care. Donation cups will be in every classroom and the room with the most change collected in 2 weeks will be rewarded with a sweet treat.
Attention students interested in joining the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union. Mr. Chuck McKnight- Training Coordinator for the Local Union 25 Plumbers & Pipefitters will be at CHS on Monday, April 6, during 3rd block (12:51 -2:11) in Mr. Lamb's room S142. Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in becoming an electrician. We will have a site visit to the Quad City Electrical Training Center in Moline, Illinois on Friday, April 10. This will be the visit to the Local 45 training facility. Seating is limited. See Jim Bengtson, in the library office, for further details.
SADD will be having their Blood Drive TOMORROW March 25. You can donate if you are 16 with a parent consent form or if you are 17+, you are good to go! See the TVs or the fliers around the building for a QR code and sign up TODAY. Questions ask Mrs. DeVries.
An admissions rep from Luther College will be visiting the counseling office on March 26 at 1:00pm. Please let Mrs. Klinkhammer know if you would be interested in meeting with them.
The reading challenge “Read across America” runs until March 31st. Keep reading and logging your minutes in Beanstack. Let's see what team reads the farthest on our map. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, or Staff.
After-School Tutoring is being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 in the New Library! There is no cost. We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend!
Jostens will be delivering cap & gown on March 26th in the theater.
Congratulations to Andrew Bacunawa in the category of storytelling and Alyson Pulido in the category of solo musical theatre on being nominated to perform at the IHSSA Individual Event All-State Festival on March 30th at the University of Northern Iowa. We know you will represent the River Kings and Queens with pride.
