The boys soccer team traveled to take on Davenport Assumption on Monday night. JV kicked things off with a strong showing in their 2-0 defeat. Zane Weaver, Eric Harris, Kamden Organista, and Brayden Schadowsky combined to generate multiple opportunities to score. The defense, anchored by Joaquin Donaire, Diego Donaire, and Noah Fergurson, put in another good performance. Joaquin Donaire was selected as the team's Man of the Match for both his performance defensively, as well as his leadership. The varsity team followed with a promising performance against a top team. The boys conceded early, but stayed composed and organized defensively. Eventually, Gabriel Rocha capitalized on a mistake, triggering a break that led to Adis Ravmonovski's 4th goal of the season, assisted by Alan Cruz. The Kings conceded before the half, and saw a 4-1 defeat as the final. Gabriel Rocha was selected as the team's Man of the Match. Not only did he spring the counter attack for the goal, but his high work rate was on display for all 80 minutes, as he was in on every play both defensively and offensively. The boys are back in action on Thursday when they travel to take on Pleasant Valley.
