A printed ok list for Prom is up by the library’s book return. Make sure you stop by and check the list. If you are not on it, come in and see what you need to do to get on it.
Prom tickets are sold this week until Thursday April 30th so you need to have your grades passing and applicable fees paid before the end of Thursday. If you have a Fee to pay or items to return, Please don't wait until the day you want to buy your ticket to pay or return it.
Congratulations to Kayden Brannum, Maddux Cooley, Cooper Cooley, Ethan Carpenter, Joaquin Donaire, Anna Bedford, Vanessa Hensel, Mady MacAvoy, Dannika McDowell, and Whitney Naughton on being selected for prom court! All students and staff will now be able to vote from this group for King and Queen. Please check your email for a form from Ms. Redpath to cast your vote. Please complete this form by the end of the day Friday, as King and Queen will be announced at the dance on Saturday!

Golden Ticket Day will be Wednesday April 29th. As of last Friday, if you had a B- or above in all your classes, you will receive a ticket in your 2nd-period class on Tuesday. Bowling, school lunch, and a movie is the fun that awaits.

Have a talent you'd like to share? Join us for the River Royalty Productions 2nd Annual Variety Show! Auditions will be held April 29th from 4-6 pm in the Durgin Performing Arts Center. Performance will be May 15th 6-8 PM. Students and staff are welcome to join in the fun and perform! For questions or details, please reach out to Mrs. Lemon-Levy.

BIG TIME PERFORMANCE
Clinton River Queen Elle Lonergan brings home the Drake Relays Championship in the High Jump! Elle cleared an incredible 5’8”, securing the win on one of the biggest stages in track & field — and moving herself to #2 ALL-TIME in school history! An unforgettable day at the Blue Oval. Proud of you, Elle! 

The River Kings varsity soccer team hosted Western Dubuque on Friday evening. The boys put on their best game of the year from start to finish. After generating several opportunities early, the Kings opened up the scoring with an outstanding build up that resulted in Javion Dearing assisting Adis Ravmonovski. Western Dubuque turned up the pressure and tied things up with 10 minutes left, but the Kings responded immediately looking for a late winner. With 1:55 left to play, Brady Kurtz played Adis in for his 6th goal of the season, and a 2-1 game winner for the River Kings. Adis was selected as the Man of the Match. The Kings are back in action on 4/30 when they host Davenport North.
River King Tennis traveled to Camanche for the first tournament of the season. The Kings got out to a slow start placing at only one of three doubles flights, but they came back strong in singles where everyone got on the podium! For the Kings, outstanding player of the tournament goes to Asher Dornbush who won his singles flight! Overall, the team finished in 3rd place! Great job Kings! 3rd Place at #2 Doubles - Vinnie Srp & Jace Burgland. 3rd Place at #1 Singles - Tanner Feddersen. 3rd Place at #2 Singles - Lucas Hilgendorf. 2nd Place at #3 Singles - Vinnie Srp. 3rd Place at # 4 Singles - Jace Burgland. 3rd Place at #5 Singles - Ryan Schmitz. 1st Place at #6 Singles - Asher Dornbush.
On Saturday, the River Queens traveled to West Liberty to take on the Lady Comets in a non-conference girls soccer match. For two matches in a row the Queens avenged a loss from last season, beating the Comets in dominating fashion by a score of 10-1! Leading the attack for the Queens was Alli Haskell who had a standout performance scoring 6 goals! Also scoring for Clinton were Zoey Scott with 2 goals, Olivia Schneeberger with 1 and Aubrey Fergurson with 1. Recording assists on the day were Schneeberger, Scott, Fergurson, Haskell and Addy Cramm. Working in goal was Brooklyn Cooley who contributed 6 saves. The Queens Varsity improves their record to 3-6 on the season! The JV Queens followed with a dominant match of their own, defeating West Liberty JV by a score of 6-0. Scoring for the JV Queens were Karla Anguiano Facio with 2 goals, Genesis Chaides with 2, Lilly Schneeberger with 1 goal and Avery Watters with 1. Pitching the shutout in goal for the Queens was Violet Hensel who recorded 3 saves on the afternoon! What a performance by the Queens! The Queens return to action on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 in split-squad matches. The JV team plays at North Scott starting at 4:15pm and the Varsity squad plays at Davenport North starting at 5:00pm. Thank you to the supporters who traveled to West Liberty on Saturday to cheer on the Queens!!!!
