Students interested in the world of trades and transportation, the Living Lands & Waters organization is hosting a one day event on June 10, in East Moline, on their newest floating classroom barge, the Mississippi River Institute. During this FREE event, students will learn about barges, tow boating, deckhanding, and related career topics. Lunch is provided and registration is required. Availability is limited. For more details, see Mr. Bengtson in the library office.
Prom tickets are sold until Tomorrow, April 30th. make sure you bring your money to buy your ticket if you haven’t already. You need to have your grades passing and applicable fees paid before the end of Thursday so you can get your ticket. If you have a Fee to pay or items to return, Please pay or return the item today.
Attention ALL BOYS AND GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS! We will have a volleyball open gym Thurs. April 30th in Yourd Gym from 7:30-9:00pm!
All students and staff are now able to vote for Prom King and Queen. Please check your email for a form from Ms. Redpath to cast your vote. Please complete this form by the end of the day Friday, as King and Queen will be announced at the dance on Saturday!
Many of the students who are not on the Prom ok list are because they need to get their parking tickets paid off. The library can NOT take payment for parking tickets, they need to be paid on Infinite Campus or with the office ladies.
After-School Tutoring will now be offered Monday - Thursday from 3:45-4:45 in the Library! There is no cost. We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend! Great way to get those grades up for Prom.

Have a talent you'd like to share? Join us for the River Royalty Productions 2nd Annual Variety Show! Auditions will be held today April 29th from 4-6 pm in the Durgin Performing Arts Center. River Kings Tennis had a meet in Bettendorf on Tuesday. The Kings had the Bulldogs on the ropes in a number of sets but let those leads go in all but one. Asher Dornbush was the lone victor on varsity as he battled through a tough 3rd set tiebreaker to come out on top! On the JV side, Dylan Todtz and Logan Spooner looked dominant as they put together four wins between singles and doubles! Go Kings!
The River Queen golfers participated in the Saber Invitational yesterday at DeWitt and placed 5th out of the 9 teams. Team medalist for the Queens was Whitney Naughton at 105 with Olivia Veenstra close behind with 107. Also scoring for the Queens were Bryleigh Shepherd and A'Reyae Jetter. Olivia Parker and Audrie Bedford also played for the Queens. The Queens have a break before the compete again next Thursday at Bettendorf.
Queens get the trifecta!......WINNERS of three games in a row!!! Last night, the River Queen Varsity soccer team rolled into Davenport to take on the Wildcats of North High School. Despite a slim 1-0 lead at the half, the Queens pulled away after halftime winning in dominating fashion by a score of 8-0! Leading the scoring charge for Clinton was Alli Haskell who recorded 4 goals on the evening! Also scoring for the Queens were Zoey Scott with 2 goals and Olivia Schneeberger with 1 goal. (While defending, North also deflected a goal in off of one of their own players for #8). Assisting in the scored goals were Haskell, Schneeberger, Scott and Addy Cramm. Pitching another shutout in goal was Brooklyn Cooley who recorded 6 saves on the evening. The Queens ripped 20 shots at the Wildcats putting 14 on goal for a 70% shots on goal rate. The Queens improved their record to 4-6 on the season. The JV Queens were at North Scott to make up a rainout game with the always solid Lancers. Playing well in goal for the Clinton JV was Violet Hensel who earned the "Beast" chain of the match. Hensel recorded 9 saves, Zoey Steen had 8, and Teyla Threatt contributed 3. The Varsity Queens are back in action next Tuesday as they travel to Davenport West to take on the Falcons in a 5:00pm contest. Thank you to our supporters who came out last night to cheer on the Queens!!!
