  • The varsity boys soccer team ended the regular season on a high note Thursday night. The boys took on DeWitt at home and secured their first MAC win of the season with a 1-0 victory. The team generated several opportunities early in the game, but they finally broke through late in the 2nd half when Adis Ravmonovski latched on to a ball from Alonso Aguila to score his 7th goal of the season. Randyn Mielke also put in an excellent performance on the right wing, playing tough defense and getting upfield to make life difficult for the Saber defense. He was selected as the Man of the Match for the night. The Kings are next in action on Tuesday when they host Independence in the first round of substate play. Come out and fill the stands for a 7:00 kick off!

  • River Kings Tennis traveled to North Scott on Saturday for their district tournament to see who would move on to the state tournament.  The Kings advanced one doubles team consisting of Vinnie Srp and Jace Burgland and one singles player, Tanner Feddersen, through the first round of play.  Tanner cruised through his second round match winning  6-2, 6-1.  Unfortunately, in the third round, Tanner fell to the eventual singles district champion and had to settle for a chance at third place, which he won.  Tanner will serve as the district alternate for the state tournament in case either of the top two finishers are unable to go.
