  • Students: Please turn in your computers as soon as you are done with them. The library is set up for computer check in. Make sure your computer is charged enough to turn on, bring your case and charger. If your computer has any issues let us know so IT can get them fixed before school starts again. Don’t wait till Friday (unless you have finals that day) or it may take longer to turn them in.


  • Congratulations to Connor Roberts for being selected as one of only 12 in the region to participate in the Heavy Metal Summer Camp at the Quad City Electrical Training Center the week of June 22nd -26th.


  • Congratulations to the officers for the National Honor Society for the 2026-27 school year:  President- Laynie Steines. Vice President- Lauren Whitney. Secretary- Kirsten Bengston. Treasurer- Josie Srp. 


  • Girls soccer - Varsity practices today at 4:30pm at the complex. Bus leaves on Thursday for the regional match at Independence at 3:15pm. JV girls are welcome to join Varsity at practice to get more touches in this Spring. JV - turn in all cleaned uniforms today to Feaster in room #124.


  • Girls interested in swimming next next fall, please meet Coach Barry at the pool Wednesday, 5/27 at 3:45 for a brief informational meeting. If you are unable to attend, please send the coaches an email (barry.schroeder@csdkq.org and ryan.sander@csdkq.org), so we can get you the information you need ahead of next season.


  • If you still have library books out please get them returned ASAP.  All checked out books have been marked lost. Get them returned so we can remove the fees.


  • If you have a loaner charger please get them back to the library ASAP and if you have a loaner computer not checked out today also please return it ASAP.


  • This week the library will be set up for computer check-in so we are going to have limited seating available. Please plan accordingly for flexes and down time.


  • There will be a BOYS GOLF meeting TODAY right away after school in Coach McEwen’s room discussing summer opportunities and the Fall Season. Talk to Coach McEwen if you can’t make it!


  • After-School Tutoring on Tuesday & Wednesday will be from 3:45-4:45 in Mrs. Parker's room, A122!  There is no cost.  We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend! 


  • Don’t forget to order your yearbooks! Last day to order is May 30th. Orders can be placed online using the following link. https://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A02308100 or the QR code outside Mrs. Albrecht's room (A105).


  • Please check the “Lost and Found”, it is spread out on a table on the main floor of the academic wing and small or electronic items are in the library. Please look over the items and reclaim anything that is yours. 


  • The River Kings took care of business Tuesday night, knocking off Dubuque Hempstead Mustangs 8-3 behind a huge offensive performance and dominant pitching.  Big nights at the plate from Ethan Carpenter, Cohen Thorpe, and Nolan Marsh powered the Kings’ offense, while Nolan Eggers was lights out on the mound to seal the win.  The Kings are back in action tonight as they face Maquoketa Cardinals — come out and support the squad!
