Students, staff, Administration, and Clinton residents are encouraged to purchase a homecoming shirt this year! The proceeds from the sale of Homecoming shirts are used to help fund this year's Prom. This year's homecoming assembly should be amazing, and we want to see as many homecoming shirts in the bleachers as possible. Links to the webstore can be found throughout the building and community. Today, right after school, in Mr. Jensen's room, in the S-wing, there will be a memorial organized by the Clinton High Republicans to honor the victims of 9/11 and the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting the terrorists behind this horrific event. We put our differences aside and unite as Americans. We discuss this tragedy in our meetings so we never forget the sacrifices made for our safety, protection, and civil liberties. By remembering, we stay strong, united, and true to who we are. At the end of the day, we are American!
The drama department will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, September 16th from 6-7 PM for anyone interested in being a part of the crew for the fall play. We are looking for people to help build and paint the sets, create costumes, run spotlights and so much more! Email Mrs. Lemon-Levy or visit room A203 if you have any questions.

Sign up for the Homecoming Dance ends on Friday, September 18th. After you have signed up, stop in the library to make sure your response went through and to check on your requirements. If you are unsure about what fees you need to pay, ask in the library. If you are bringing a Date who doesn’t go to CHS you ALSO need to fill out and return an “Out of school date form” which is available in the library.
Homecoming is fast approaching which means the Royalty Rack is ready for visitors. If you are looking for something to wear to the dance, this is the place for you! We have a variety of homecoming dresses, shoes, collared shirts, and more. If you are interested in taking a look at what the Royalty Rack has to offer, please email Mrs. Leafgreen (christina.leafgreen@csdkq.org) to set up an appointment.
If you received an email about NHS, you are invited to apply. You will need to join the Google Classroom, pick up the application, and 3 teacher recommendations from Ms. Bradway or Mr. Camp. Application deadline is Oct 9 and you should not procrastinate in applying.
Make sure you remember to bring your computers and chargers to school EVERYDAY. The library has a limited number of computers and chargers to loan out. If you have a loaner charger it needs to be returned ASAP.
2026 HOMECOMING COURT NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN!
Homecoming Court nomination forms have been emailed to all CHS classes. Each class will nominate students to represent their class on the 2026 Homecoming Court.

Yesterday, the Clinton boys golf team hosted the 8-team River King Invite at Valley Oaks golf course. The Kings shot their lowest round of the year, finishing in 6th place out of the 8 teams! Scoring for the Kings were Brenner Swanson who fired an 84, Mav Hensel shot 85, Thomas Hays carded an 86, and Carter Thorpe rounded out the scoring by shooting an 87! The Kings posted their lowest score of the season shooting a 342, an 85.5 stroke average. The Kings beat Davenport West and Davenport Central, and were only seven strokes behind 5th place Davenport North. Winning the team event was Pleasant Valley who shot a team score of 10 under par, led by meet medalist Zander Panek who posted a score of six under par 66. The JV Kings are in action today as they head to Red Hawk golf course to take on Davenport Central in a JV dual meet that tees off at 2:30pm.
The undefeated Clinton's Girls Tennis Team met the undefeated Pleasant Valley Tennis Team last night in Bettendorf. Tenley Cewe at #1 singles brought in the only victory in singles. The Queens rallied in doubles with a win from Elizabeth Grinnall and Taedyn Cewe at #2 doubles who remain undefeated at #2 doubles to date 13-0, with another win at #3 doubles from Grace Griswold and Josie Srp. #1 doubles played their best doubles to date, but came up a little short 6-8. There are a number of days to practice before the MAC Conference Tennis Tournament. The girls will be working on a few things. Your Coaches know you will arise to the occasion!
