The drama department will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, September 16th from 6-7 PM for anyone interested in being a part of the crew for the fall play. We are looking for people to help build and paint the sets, create costumes, run spotlights and so much more! Email Mrs. Lemon-Levy or visit room A203 if you have any questions.

Sign up for the Homecoming Dance ends on Friday, September 18th. After you have signed up, stop in the library to make sure your response went through and to check on your requirements. If you are unsure about what fees you need to pay, ask in the library. If you are bringing a Date who doesn’t go to CHS you ALSO need to fill out and return an “Out of school date form” which is available in the library.
Homecoming is fast approaching which means the Royalty Rack is ready for visitors. If you are looking for something to wear to the dance, this is the place for you! We have a variety of homecoming dresses, shoes, collared shirts, and more. If you are interested in taking a look at what the Royalty Rack has to offer, please email Mrs. Leafgreen (christina.leafgreen@csdkq.org) to set up an appointment.
If you received an email about NHS, you are invited to apply. You will need to join the Google Classroom, pick up the application, and 3 teacher recommendations from Ms. Bradway or Mr. Camp. The application deadline is Oct 9 and you should not procrastinate in applying.
There will be an FFA meeting Tuesday, September 15th at 7:45 am in room S145 (Ag room). It will be open to all those currently in FFA and those interested in joining.
Students, if you receive a LUNCH STUDY TABLE PASS, this means that you will take your lunch to the second foyer by iJAG.
Want to be in the homecoming parade? We want you to be part of the student prepared class float. Anyone can come, and all are welcome! If you would like to be part of the float, please come to a short informational meeting this Thursday at 8 in Mr. Pataska's room. Students will have the ability to decorate a float with provided materials the night of the parade, or prior to the event. We hope to see you there! If you see the Queens top tennis players wish them good luck at the Big MAC Tourney on Wednesday and Thursday. They are: Tenley Cewe, Elizabeth Grinnall, Taedyn Cewe, Kirstin Bengtson, Grace Griswold, Sammy Manikowski, Josie Srp and alternate Piper Jennings. This is an amazing group of girls that understand how to trust in their teammates and to have faith in each other!
The F/S River Kings ran away with the win last Friday night against CR Wash. In a dominant performance on both sides of the ball the Kings balanced offensive attack scored on a 54 yard touchdown run by Yavin Bell, 4yd TD rush by Elijah Hardwick, 42yd touchdown reception by Levi Nimmick from Hardwick & a 12yd touchdown reception by Vaun Jones from Mycah Sims. The Kings will try to keep their winning streak alive as they head to Maquoketa this Friday for a 5:00 kickoff.
