Homecoming is fast approaching which means the Royalty Rack is ready for visitors. If you are looking for something to wear to the dance, this is the place for you! We have a variety of homecoming dresses, shoes, collared shirts, and more. If you are interested in taking a look at what the Royalty Rack has to offer, please email Mrs. Leafgreen (christina.leafgreen@csdkq.org) to set up an appointment.
If you received an email about NHS, you are invited to apply. You will need to join the Google Classroom, pick up the application, and 3 teacher recommendations from Ms. Bradway or Mr. Camp. The application deadline is Oct 9 and you should not procrastinate in applying.
Sign up for the Homecoming Dance ends today at 3:45. The Library has an OK list posted on the window. If you are not on the list, ask in the library to see what you need to do to go. Tickets will be on sale starting Monday Sept 21st until Thursday Sept 24th.
Iowa State will be visiting the Counseling office on Thursday September 24th at 9 am. If you are interested in attending please email Mr. Avise-Rouse.

Students will have the chance to vote for their favorite nominated teacher or staff member by purchasing tickets. The nominees with the MOST tickets will get a PIE IN THE FACE!
Ticket sales begin September 21 during all three lunch periods.
$1 = 1 ticket
$5 = 6 tickets
$20 = an ARM’S LENGTH of tickets!

The River Queens opened their 2026 home schedule Tuesday evening with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-11, 25-15) of Davenport West. Junior Maggie House led Clinton with 11 kills, while freshman Grace Griswold added seven in the win. Junior Kiara Krueger had five and junior Molly Steiner had four. Griswold led the River Queens with 12 assists and 12 digs and junior Aliana Carpenter trailed her with seven assists and eight digs. Tenley Cewe led the back row charge with 13 digs, 6 assists, and a team high 2.36 passer rating. Clinton will next host their own invitational Saturday, Sept. 19. The event will start at 8:30 a.m.
The Queens Tennis Team has been at the top of the MAC Conference finishing first, second, or third for years. This year they finished 3rd in the conference. They were edged out by North Scott who they beat head to head earlier this season. Pleasant Valley finished first. Taedyn Cewe, an eighth grader playing the number 3 varsity position brought in the gold with a victory in singles. She teamed with Elizabeth Grinnall at #2 doubles and brought in the silver medal. Elizabeth brought home a silver medal in singles as did Kirstin Bengtson. The bronze medal was brought in by Tenley Cewe at #1 singles, at #6 singles Sammy Manikowski brought home the bronze, along with the doubles team of Griswold and Srp. Next we work on qualifying as many as possible for individual state, followed by team state. Be ready to work hard at practice tomorrow. There was a lot of great tennis play the past two days, but there are things that must be improved for future successes. Be ready to work!!!
The River Queen Swimmers capped off their 2 meet week with a second consecutive dominant win at Morrison last night, taking the Varsity meet 146-89 and the JV meet 40-9. The Queens captured wins in the following events on the night: JV 200 Medley Relay (Stephanie Rollins, Adalynn Elmore, Ava Schaefer, Norah Bradley), 200 Individual Medley (Nora Prosise), JV 50 Free (Ava Schaefer), 100 Fly (Eloise Brisch), JV 100 Free (Norah Bradley), 100 Free (Nora Prosise), 500 Free (Grace Ewer), 200 Free Relay (Brisch, Lauren Whitney, Georgia Zirkelbach, Mia Zimmer), 400 Free Relay (Prosise, Ewer, Lily Laurion, Mena Albaghdadi). The Queens return to competition next Tuesday at Pleasant Valley.
