The Clinton High Republicans are pleased to announce a unique civic engagement opportunity for our campus: U.S. Congresswoman, military veteran, and physician Mariannette Miller-Meeks will be visiting on Monday, October 12th at 4:00 PM. She will give a brief speech in the agriculture room followed by an extended, open Q&A session where students can directly ask questions about current events and national policy. All students and staff are highly encouraged to attend regardless of political beliefs. This is your choice to voice the issues that matter to you in a respectful, welcoming, and non-disruptive forum. We look forward to seeing you there!
Always a great experience at state girls tennis, when you consider that over 1000 girls participate in tennis across the state of Iowa. Elizabeth Grinnall and Tenley Cewe were a part of the elite 16 players, an accomplishment in itself. Elizabeth fought hard against the first seed having some amazing points and lost in consolation match in a super tiebreaker to finish a great legacy of tennis at Clinton. Tenley Cewe, a sophmore won her first round before going down to Debuque Seniors player, who finished 3rd in the state tournament. Tenley then beat Dowling Cathloic, followed by a supertiebreaker loss 11-9 to Pleasant Valley, and finally beating the Johnston girl in a supertiebreaker 13-11 to finish 7th in the state tournament. Amazing season girls! When the Queens go to state, every tennis player is a part of their success! Thank you girls for another successful season!!!
