After observing our traffic flow and making adjustments, we have finalized our drop-off and pick-up procedures.

🚸 Watch carefully for students, staff, buses, and crosswalks.
👀 Follow staff directions as we work to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
We have created Google Slides and a new traffic-flow graphic to make the process as clear and easy to follow as possible. Please take a few minutes to review them before your next drop-off or pick-up.
When all of us follow the same procedure, we create a safer arrival and dismissal for every Jefferson King and Queen. 👑

Good morning on this hot and humid day!
Unfortunately, this hot, humid day, combined with some trouble for our air conditioning handlers, has made most of our classrooms very warm, making it very difficult to keep our learning environment safe, supportive, and focused on learning. To make the best decision for the students and staff of Jefferson, we will be releasing two hours early at 12:45 today, September 3rd.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause some families; however, for our school community as a whole, we feel this is the best decision. A few pieces of information:
Our amazing maintenance team has worked tirelessly on this issue and will continue to develop new solutions. Thankfully, the last of the warm days are over tomorrow, and we already have a two-hour head start on our already scheduled.
The After School Program will be canceled today.
Buses will be released at 12:45 for K-5, with PK buses releasing at 1:15.
