Our second graders explored rhythm by composing and performing 16-beat patterns in music class. Rhythm sticks were an essential part of the process and brought each composition to life!

We are proud to recognize one of our outstanding CCSD employees who truly goes above and beyond each and every day. Known for his friendly smile and genuine heart, Dave Tollenaar in Transportation brings positivity to everyone he meets.
Transportation Director Chris Turner shared that Dave is always looking for ways to make each student’s day better, such as providing books for the ride. Dave builds meaningful connections with students and their families, creating trust along the way. He also plays a vital role by transporting many of our students with additional support needs, ensuring they arrive safely and feel supported throughout their day.
Dave shared, “I am very fortunate that I have a job that I enjoy.” CCSD is just as fortunate to have you, Dave. ❤️🖤

Favorite work-related memory response continued: "Some students even employed other staff members to speak on their behalf, such as Mr. Prinsen, Mr. Swanson and Mr. Petersen. It was a lot of fun to see how committed the students were to that project, it was definitely a great memory at CMS."
