The Future of Clinton High School (for those that have not yet seen this image)! So far, we are right on schedule and Phase 1 (build academic wing and associated parking and renovate Yourd) will be completed this year. It will then be time to move into the new academic wing.

Young minds focused on learning. ❤️

From Eagle Heights Elementary PTA Facebook page:
Donut Squad was at Eagle Heights Elementary on Friday — Thanks Chris Radke and Open Door Church for hosting the squad for us. So rewarding to hear the words of appreciation from our kids!

Did you know Mr. Delacy has a blog?! He posts often during the school year regarding CCSD updates and events. Last week, he wrote about accepting nominations for the CHS Hall of Honor Class of 2023!

Or catch his latest on the app under the "News" section!

The new CHS Library (photos from the outside and inside)! The views will be wonderful as students gather, read and study. So much natural light -- a huge factor in the renovation. We can't wait to watch it come together.

At the CCSD School Board meeting last week, Darcy Thornton, 4th grade teacher at Eagle Heights, received the Gold Key Award. Her coworkers had wonderful things to say about her and the great job she does daily. Congratulations!

It's Friday! Big smile!
Who's excited for the weekend?!
Today, CCSD had Vision of the District at Rastrelli’s to cover some important and exciting topics. This photo shows CHS Synergy students presenting past and upcoming projects! It was a great time for staff and community members to socialize and talk about the district. ❤️🖤

This year, we plan to do CCSD Staff Spotlights! We want to share our #CCSDFamily with you because they're all pretty awesome! We are kicking off with Cy - 50 years with CCSD. Here's what CCSD Plant Services Director, Paul Dotterweich, has to say about him:
"While I haven't worked with Cy as much as the guys on the grounds crew, he always has the most interesting information about the history of our Plant Services department.
Over the years Cy has done everything that has been asked of him and more. Times when I've wondered how we've done things in the past, he has always explained the process like a historian would. He's been here for so long that he remembers throwing salt out of the back of a pickup truck with a shovel in order to salt the parking lots. Cy is just around one of the nicest people on earth and the district is lucky to have him for so long. I truly believe that the reason Cy has been here for so long is his love for the district and the brotherly comradery with his coworkers.
I know over the years, Cy has quietly expressed his pride for Friday night home football games! In the past, his grounds coworkers would recognize his excitement for these Friday night games by referring to them as "CYDAY night lights".
Cy rarely misses a day of work and annually has to be reminded that he has vacation days to use up."

#CCSDHOCO2022 | Dress Up Days Announced!

Let's highlight the Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship (TPRA) Grant Program! Have you heard of it?!
The grant program will provide opportunities for paraeducators to earn their bachelor's degree (covered by the state) all while learning and working in the classroom. The program began in the 2022-2023 school year.
The Adult-->Para Track is to be done at Eastern Iowa Community College and the Para-->Teacher Track at St. Ambrose, Upper Iowa or William Penn.
We want to showcase the current CCSD candidates that were chosen for this program. They are all working very hard, performing their paraeducator job duties while earning their degree.
All CCSD paraeducators are truly valued! They provide a great service to their colleagues and students and we appreciate each of them.
Last but not least, we'd like to share Sherami Kenworthy:

Today, we'd like to share April May:

Last Friday, CHS Volleyball girls had Fun Friday! They had a theme for practice: Anything but a Water Bottle! They finished with a pancake breakfast.
We had to share the fun!

Last week, Transitional Kindergarten students were busy, busy! They practiced using scissors, practiced the letters in their name and made name constellations with star stickers!
