Tomorrow, 12/16, there will only be one girls basketball game at Davenport North. It will be Varsity and will be played at 6:00pm.

Attention CHS Boys Swim Spectators: Davenport North will only be bringing 3 swimmers to tonight's dual, therefore many events will be just like timed trials.

Clinton High wrestling went 3-0 on the night defeating Northeast 72-6, West Carroll 66-12, and West Branch 37-30. Great job by all. The Kings head to Dewitt Saturday for the last competition before Christmas break. Go Kings!

The Kings had an awesome start to the night with a 60-0 win over Davenport Central!
Tonight’s winners against Davenport:
Sam Hoffman, Brady Jennings, Luke Jennings, Hunter Dierksen, Peyton Pettengill, Darion Clark, Jordan Stafford, Mason Luckritz, Ben Brown, Brody Harrington, Danny Peters
Unfortunately Bettendorf prevailed with a score of 70-6. Luke Jennings was the lone varsity winner and Jack Hoffman and Hayden Chandler came away with wins for JV.
Catch the Kings AND Queens together in Maquoketa on Saturday! Wrestling begins at 9am!

The Queens wrestled at the Tipton Invitational last night and fought hard against some tough competition. Leading the Queens was CharKeyrrah Simmons who took 1st place. Following that was Kendie Huizenga and Emma Krogman placing 2nd. Emmalee Goldensoph, Faith Davis and Cambrie McLoyd all placed 3rd. Great job ladies. The Queens wrestle again this Saturday at the Maquoketa tournament. Please come out and support these young ladies making history.

Congratulations to our CHS Bowlers! All teams won their meet against Bettendorf last night! Boys Varsity won 3161 to 2644
Girls Varsity won 2296 to 1784
Boys JV won 2074 to 1489
Leading scorers for the boys were:
-Charlie Pelham with a 499 two game series
-Blake Shepherd with a 467 two game series
Leading scorers for the girls were:
-Sidney Pawski with a 347 two game series
-Ana Cunningham with a 316 two game series
Your River King Swimmers took on the Muscatine Muskies last night at CHS. Kings fell short and the Muskies took the victory 103 to 60. Varsity kings taking 1st places were: Unke 100 Free and 100 Breast, Caleb Dornbush 100 Back. JV Kings did have some fierce competition amongst themselves. Taking 1st places were: Sander-Welzien 50 Free, Duncan 100 Free, Reynolds 100 Back. Thanks for those that came out to support the KINGS last night! Elizabeth Kelly, a junior at Clinton High School has been selected to be a part of the Iowa High School Music Association All State Orchestra. She is the first CHS orchestra student in almost a decade to be selected. Elizabeth has been playing the violin since she was 6 and was a part of the Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestra and Youth Symphony in Oregon. Liz has played in the Clinton High School Chamber Orchestra since her sophomore year. That year, she was a part of the IHSMA SIESTA Honor Orchestra. Last summer, she was a camp counselor at the Clinton String Camp run by Greg and Julie Marston. She helped teach 5th and 6th grade string students, which she really enjoyed and looks forward to doing it again next summer.
Haylee House is a freshman at Clinton High School and the daughter of Katrina and Mike House. Haylee was selected for participation in the 36th annual Opus Honor Choir Festival. Over 2100 students were nominated by their directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs. Selections were made by means of a recorded audition. Haylee is the first CHS student to be selected. She has participated in Choir since kindergarten and is active in the Drama department at Clinton High. As an 8th Grader she was Flounder in the Little Mermaid Musical. She has participated in the last 2 school plays. She is a member of both the Volleyball and Track teams at Clinton High. Haylee has a great love for singing and was so honored to be selected to the 2022 Opus Honor choir.
