We will have dress up days, spirit packs available for purchase, the CHS band and cheerleaders will visit us, the parade to watch or participate in (by walking with Clinton Elementary Schools), and the pancake breakfast with a late start on Friday, September 25th. What fun!!! Our school will kick off Homecoming Week with picture day. Make sure your student comes "Dressed for Success." Be on the lookout for the parade permission slip in your student's backpack. If you're reading this on Sunday, today is the deadline to order CHS Homecoming apparel from the Adcraft webstore: https://adcraftwebstores.com/chmcg26/

Let's have a great week families!

Week 4
Homecoming Dress Up Days
Good morning families and happy Friday! We will have some extra visitors on the hill this morning as volunteers and participants of the 9-11 ceremony happening near school will need extra parking. This will also mean shuttle buses will be coming and going and police will be directing traffic. We are happy to help our community with this event in this way. Have a great day everyone!

Families,

We're zooming right in to Week 3! Our attendance dropped just a bit this week. We stayed above our goal of 95% and landed at 96%. Remind your students to watch their grade level attendance graph fill up. This is located at our main stairway. We have prizes waiting for the grade level attendance winners! This week we start FAST screening. Students will be screened on various reading and math skills and we'll get to watch them grow as we screen again in winter and spring. School picture day will be on Monday, September 21st. This will also be our first day of Homecoming Week! On Friday, September 25th, we will have a two- hour late start. Please join the fun that morning at CHS for the Homecoming Pancake Breakfast!

Have a great week everyone!

Phone Issues at Eagle Heights

What a great first week we had! Lots of smiles and lot of laughter! It was so good to have everyone back together again. As we settle in, we want to work on making our drop off and pick up procedures as efficient as possible. If you need to talk to your student for a bit or want to walk them to the door (or pick them up at the door), please park in the East lot. We have to keep that line in the fire lane moving at drop off and pick up. Please have patience with each other as many new-to-Eagle Heights families navigate how this is done! Have a great week families!

Caretakers,

When you are checking the portal to see who your student's teacher is, select the top right corner then go to the left side of the screen and select schedule. The teacher name should be there!

Please see the update from our Transportation Department. Transportation details will be available through the Parent Portal.

Also, a lot of time, thought, and intentionality goes into building class lists. Please do not call and request a different teacher/class. These changes will not be granted. Our teachers at Eagle Heights are top notch and I have total confidence in each of them that they will give your child the opportunity to have a fantastic year! Thank you for understanding. We can't wait to see all of our students next week!

Back to School Information

July is here! Oh my! I'm not sure where June went but I hope our Eagle Heights families enjoyed the first month of summer. We have had so many projects going on at the school and can't wait for our students, staff, and families to see everything done. Please make sure to get registered for the school year asap and don't forget to drink plenty of water during this very hot time in July, read some of your favorite books, play some math games, and get outside and run when you can!

Summer Pride Update
The last week of school is going to be full of fun! We will celebrate our 5th graders tomorrow night, preschoolers on Wednesday night, hold our all school field day on Thursday, and will have our Student of the Month assembly on Friday. Our students have grown so much this year and we are incredibly proud of their growth and achievements. We know this week will be exciting, and it can be emotion-filled as well. Please help us keep things calm, cool, and collect at school by keeping the following at home:

Fidgets, squishies, and other toys
Caffeinated drinks
Snacks (unless this is arranged with a classroom teacher)

Also, please remind your students that crop tops are not to be worn at school. If a student is wearing a crop top, they will be asked to put a sweatshirt or jacket on or to get a t-shirt from Nurse Kelli. Cell phones are to be off and away while at school. Students can use them after they leave the building at dismissal. If we see a cell phone out during the day, it will stay in the office until the day is done.

Thank you for helping us successfully get through this last week! We have loved having your students this year and are already looking forward to next year!

May is here! We have so much to do and so little time! We just finished ISASP (state) testing and now we're headed into FAST and iReady Spring screening. Our 5th graders will visit CMS tomorrow and will have their 5th grade field day next week with 5th Grade Recognition on Tuesday, May 26th. Our 4th-6th grade Orchestra students will perform this Tuesday at Clinton High at 7:00. We will open our Office Tattoo Shop this week as well! Students that purchased tattoos as a fundraiser for our outdoor classroom will get to put tattoos on the staff members they chose throughout the week!

Four weeks to go
We're down to 5 weeks left in the school year and will be in May this week. Our students and staff have done incredible work but we're not done yet! Please give all 3rd through 5th grade students an extra hug this week. They have worked SO HARD on their state tests. We are so proud of all of them! Thank you to Mrs. Clark and to everyone that made the Be the Change Fundraiser a success! And another big thank you to the Eagle Heights PTA for making our last BINGO Night of the year a great one. We are so much closer to being able to finish the outdoor classroom. Have an awesome week families!

Week 31
It's state testing time! Starting Tuesday, all 3rd through 5th graders will be engaged in our state tests. We will complete these tests throughout April. Please encourage your students to take their time and try their best. There is no time limit and they have all been told that Mrs. Erwin will find them extra time to finish tests. We are excited to see how our students do and know that they are ready to show off what they've learned! On Thursday, Eagle Heights is hosting Kindergarten Kickoff. This is a first for Clinton Schools with all four elementaries holding this kindergarten roundup event together. If you have a preschool student or know of one, please join us! Registration is going to open for all students on the 9th as well. We encourage all caretakers to have their students registered for school by the end of May. If you need help, please call our main office.
