CHS Spanish students spent some time with our elementary students! They taught them about animals, actions, colors and numbers in Spanish! We love when our bigs and littles interact!

In honor of #TeacherAppreciationWeek, let's hear your story. Whether it be 3 years ago or 30 years ago, please share!
Teachers, you have a significant, lifelong impact on your students. The education and encouragement you give daily truly matters. Thank you!

Happy #NationalSchoolNurseDay! Our school nurses make important decisions regarding students' health daily. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our students happy and healthy, nurses! We appreciate you!

It was stated that Lisa is a loyal and trusted colleague and member of Team Bluff. Superintendent DeLacy mentioned that Lisa is the epitome of professionalism. Congratulations, Lisa!

Congratulations to the Clinton High School Orchestra on achieving a Division I rating at the 2023 IHSMA State Large Group Festival. This is the highest distinction an Iowa school music ensemble can attain. They have worked tirelessly to earn this honor!

Great job, students!

With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, the 2023 campaign focuses on how surroundings impact mental health, and calling for individuals to look around, look within. Topics that we specifically address include: Safe and Stable Housing. Healthy Home Environments. CCSD Social Worker Team: Sharyl Wanzek, Matt Edwards, and Gabe Gluba want to take this opportunity to communicate to our students, families, and staff how the CCSD Social Work Team helps support mental health awareness as whole everyday by helping to assist with linking students, families, and staff to community resources, providing social emotional supports/interventions, collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting attendance, providing training with District initiatives such as Hope Framework and Youth Mental Health First Aid. These are a few ways our CCSD School Social Workers help bring awareness to mental health everyday for our District.
--
We are grateful to have 3 CCSD social workers that really are the epitome of 'caring community' (part of our district's mission statement). They work hard to connect families and students to needed resources, provide counseling/therapy, strengthen relationships between home and school, and work hard to get kids to school (chronic absenteeism is the number one indicator of future mental health issues).

Let's highlight the Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship (TPRA) Grant Program! The grant program will provide opportunities for paraeducators to earn their bachelor's degree (covered by the state) all while learning and working in the classroom. The program began in the 2022-2023 school year.
We want to showcase the current CCSD candidates that were chosen for this program over the next several days. They are all working very hard, performing their paraeducator job duties while earning their degree.
All CCSD paraeducators are truly valued! They provide a great service to their colleagues and students and we appreciate each of them.
Lastly, we'd like to share Brooke Petersen:
