Sharing from Jefferson Elementary's Facebook page:
Not just a bunch of cubes… but work inspired by the artist Thank YouX, as well as the work our Synergy students at CHS have accomplished with their murals around Clinton. A lot of noteworthy information in regards to the creation of the work, but two parts really stand out. "1) Each student in 1st - 5th grades got two blank cubes, leaving one part of the picture white they colored the other sides. 2) The cubes are pieces of themselves, each piece unique just like them and when put together the uniqueness of each cube is what makes the art piece special." Thank you to Mrs. Davin for working with the Jefferson students in creating work that will be displayed outside the art room! Can’t wait for what is next!"

Clinton Emergency Management and the Clinton Police Department presented Run, Hide, Fight (RHF) to CCSD Administration yesterday. RHF training equipped the attendees with options when responding to an active violent threat.
Staff at each school will be trained as well.

Parents!
Don't forget that community flyers can be found on the website (https://www.clinton.k12.ia.us/) or the CCSD app under Parents-->Community Flyers (under the Documents tab on the app). Most community flyers are no longer coming home in folders!

New bus lane on east side of Phase One was put in on Monday and some major progress on the new East parking lot yesterday!

Isaiah Holmes, Lauren Kruse and Isabella Stoll were chosen to represent Clinton High School at the 2022 ICCA Honor Squad. They were selected based on cheer skills, leadership qualities and academics. This year, 171 athletes applied for the stunt portion of the performance, only 80 were selected and our 3 cheerleaders were included in the 80! We are so proud of them!
After 3 practice sessions, the Honor Squad performed at the halftimes of the 2A and 3A State Championship games on Nov. 18 at the UNI Dome.

What are you looking forward to... the turkey, the sides or the dessert?!
I think we can all agree we're looking forward to some family/friend time! Enjoy, CCSD Family!
Please note that the CCSD Administration building will be closed to the public November 23-25!

Big smiles for Art! So fun to get out of their normal environment and get creative!
At Jefferson, they created "surprise art" and at Bluff, trees with falling leaves (tissue paper leaves)!
