Let's highlight the Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship (TPRA) Grant Program! Have you heard of it?!
The grant program will provide opportunities for paraeducators to earn their bachelor's degree (covered by the state) all while learning and working in the classroom. The program began in the 2022-2023 school year.
The Adult-->Para Track is to be done at Eastern Iowa Community College and the Para-->Teacher Track at St. Ambrose, Upper Iowa or William Penn.
We want to showcase the current CCSD candidates that were chosen for this program. They are all working very hard, performing their paraeducator job duties while earning their degree.
All CCSD paraeducators are truly valued! They provide a great service to their colleagues and students and we appreciate each of them.
Today, we'd like to share Lauren DeMotta:

Attendance Matters!
#AttendanceAwareness #BrightFuture

From Jefferson Elementary Clinton, IA Facebook page:
Look what we have going on here! How do we get kids excited to learn? First, we write on the floor. Second, we sprinkle in some computer science with coding. Then third, we work on essential skills that transfer to the next unit, grade and life! Great job Mrs. Specht's 2nd Grade!

Last week, the CMS 7th Grade Black Team created their Social Contract. They had to communicate which words they felt should be on it and why. Great conversations to listen to!

Whittier students catching on to phoneme-grapheme mapping and others learning what tools scientists use!

Reminder: No school tomorrow (Monday, September 5th) for Labor Day!

A future River Queen! She’s rocking her Clinton gear already! ❤️🖤 Thanks for allowing us to share, Kodi & Phil Swanson (parents)!

September is #NationalAttendanceAwarenessMonth. Let's strive for five (absent days) or LESS this year! Let's give our youth a brighter future. Together, we can.

Our Cross Country team hosted the 35th Annual Schoolhouse Open this week. The River Kings saw 7 runners run their personal best and 11 additional runners run faster than their time at this meet last year. As always, thank you to all who came out to support Clinton!

These photos show a few Bluff students practicing math and gaining social skills by handing out fresh cantaloupe to each class!

115 future CHS Cheerleaders attended the Mini Cheer Camp last weekend! They will be performing between the JV & Varsity games Friday, Sept. 9. Make sure to cheer them on!

These photos deserve a permanent spot on our feed (Thanks for these, Clinton High School Facebook page)!
CHS Marching Band & Color Guard. 👏🥁

Each year the CHS Marching Band does a Pink Plume Fundraiser which raises money for a staff member or student in the district who had been affected by cancer. We collect money throughout the football season and then recognize the individual by wearing pink plumes at the October 14th football game. Individuals who sponsor a plume can do so in support or memory of someone who has been affected by cancer. The names of those individuals are written on an insert in that evening's program.
This year, the CHS Band Boosters have chosen Riley Olmstead to be the recipient of the fundraiser. Riley is a 1st grade student at Bluff.
Read below for more about the fundraiser and Riley. Donations can be sent through intercampus mail to Patrick Brooks at CHS or mailed directly to the Band Booster.
Thank you for your support!

Last, but certainly not least: Cyril Cave with Plant Services at 50 YEARS OF SERVICE! Cy had a standing ovation during the service awards portion of our All Staff In-Service!

Just a heads up! We plan to put the majority of community flyers online from here on out to simplify how to find them and decrease the amount of paper being sent home. We hope you understand!

Thank you for voting Clinton Schools as one of the BEST EMPLOYERS in town!
