CCSD Staff presented at Iowa BEST Conference last week regarding our Therapeutic Classroom. We were 1 of 6 school districts across the state to receive the grant the first year, and we presented along with Allamakee and Washington CSDs.
What caregivers say about the Therapeutic Classroom at Jefferson: "I have seen significant improvement in my daughter's communication when dealing with her feelings and high emotions. We look forward to her learning more coping and regulation skills." - Parent
"Affirming positive socio-emotional responses and behaviors in our students."

Friday night, the CHS Marching Band wore their pink plumes at the top of their marching hats for Bluff’s first grade student, Riley Olmstead, and in honor of all cancer patients. This year, the CHS Band Boosters chose Riley to be the recipient of their annual donation for Pink Plumes, for cancer awareness month. Riley is the child of Jason and Tracy Olmstead of Clinton.
CHS Band Boosters presented Riley and his family with over $1,000 thanks to plume sponsorship sales this fall. A huge thank you to our community!
We wish you all the best as you continue your treatment, Riley!

Bluff Kindergarten had a field trip to The Sawmill Museum this week. History lesson fun for our students!

Charles Schantag (Plant Services) was awarded the Gold Key Award at last night's board meeting.
Paul Dotterweich, Plant Services Director, had wonderful things to say about Charles and his dedication to the students of the CHS Building Operator Program.

Last night, CHS Building Operator Pathway students presented to the board explaining what the program is, the knowledge they have already gained and the benefits of the program. Because of their dedication to the BOP, their futures are looking very bright!
