Today’s Announcements:
Clinton River Queen Wrestling is proud to announce their 3rd annual Be A Queen Wrestling Camp on June 13th, 2026. The camp is open to 6th-8th graders from 2:30-4:00. Cost is $30 and includes a free t-shirt. See Coach Rue or Coach Cottrell for information on how to register.

The Clinton JV River Queens battled Tipton in a high-scoring matchup last night, ending in a 9-9 tie after five innings. The River Queens showed patience at the plate with 13 walks and continued battling back throughout the game. Khloe Brunson led the offense with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 3 stolen bases, while Ella Iburg added a hit and RBI. Ava Schaefer and Brooklynn Kolves also stayed aggressive on the bases with stolen bases of their own.

In the circle, Ella Iburg pitched all five innings and recorded 4 strikeouts. The River Queens kept competing through a tough game and showed great effort from start to finish. The Queens are back in action tonight at Bettendorf at 5 p.m.

The CMS Leo's Club and CMS PTSA recently wrapped up their Coins for a Cause fundraiser, raising an incredible $3,500 for the Felix Adler Discovery Center! The donation will go directly toward their new Public Safety display.

CMS student leaders Grace Griswold, Elijah Craft, and Makenzie Wheat—alongside CMS Teachers Alyssa Kenney and Allison Schultz—proudly presented the check to Executive Director Sara Lind and Dawn Schuetzle.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support a fantastic local cause!

Looking for a fun way to earn volunteer hours this summer? The Discovery Center is looking for volunteers to help with Felix Adler Day on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you’re interested, call the Discovery Center for more information.

CHS Football and Boys Basketball will be hosting an incoming freshman parent meeting Monday, May 18th at 5:15 in the CHS weightroom to discuss summer schedules, and the upcoming seasons.

Any 8th grader that would like to make some money this summer! Clinton Junior baseball is looking for umpires. Games are Mondays and Wednesday nights. Please stop in and see Mr. Steen or email him.

Attention current 8th grade girls interested in playing volleyball at CHS next fall! Coach Cewe will host a volleyball meeting today during lunch to discuss summer volleyball plans and the 2026 season calendar. Please grab your lunch first, then meet in your pod. Be sure to bring your laptop! Attendance is required for all future freshmen volleyball players.

River Queen Tennis is one of the top teams in the MAC and has consistently ranked in the top 8 at state for the past 40 years! The best part? You can still participate alongside other sports, so come join the fun. See you August 5th!

CMS today is orange day as we raise awareness and give hope to those with ADHD. Did you know roughly 10% of children are diagnosed with ADHD. It is often characterized by attention and impulse that the person with ADHD has trouble controlling due to their brain activity. Today we tell those with ADHD that we see you, we care about you, and think you are awesome!

Tomorrow we will wear blue for childhood abuse awareness.

Attention all 8th graders! Baseball tryouts will be held today, Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6, from 4:30–6:00 PM at Eagle Heights. If you are currently in track, please still plan on attending your meets today and tomorrow, and you are welcome to join tryouts on Wednesday.

The CMS track team had a great night Friday at Northeast. The 7th and 8th grade Queens placed 1st out of 12 teams, with numerous relay victories and individual championships. The Kings teams both placed 2nd out of 12 teams and had their best night of the season as well. The highlight of the night was seeing Clinton track win four consecutive 4x400 relays. Way to go Kings and Queens! Tonight the team is in action against Bettendorf here at home, before they wrap up their season with the MAC championships tomorrow night. If you see a track athlete wish them luck!
