Synergy shared:
We had wonderful day at Jefferson Elementary for the Synergy Book Drive organized by Kaylee Moeller. Her hard work allowed students to get multiple books to take home and add to their home library. The rest of our Synergy students did a great job of helping and interacting with the students. These are the things that make Clinton High School and Clinton Community School District unique and great! Thanks to all of our book donors and Barb Rhodes for her guidance.

TK Students in SEL with Ms. Wunderlin, exploring careers in an interactive program, Xello!
Students explore jobs in "Careertown" and help find where a character, "Ernestine McNohire" has put all the workers! To find clues, they must do the jobs of the missing workers.
CCSD Students use Xello, K-12 with their school counselors, at varying degrees. As you can see, these TK students are quite engaged and excited about this!

1. "I will miss" continued: "I see families and students from many years past, who call out "Mrs O", when I am out in the community. It is so fun to hear how those students and families are doing, reminisce and hear of their successes. I will miss watching, encouraging and celebrating with students, as they grow, and then see and hear of their future successes."
2. Plans continued: "Eventually we plan to move out that way, and then I will be able to go to more ISU games with my daughter. (Loras, my husband, says not to worry, he will continue to be a Hawkeye fan, even if we move). We hope to do more traveling around the country, visit family members and friends more often and maybe dabble in some new hobbies."

#CCSDGoldKey
Congratulations, Sarah Erwin!
We'd like to share what Theresa Shultz, Clinton High School Principal, had to say about Sarah:
"I would like to take a moment to congratulate Sarah Erwin, our At-Risk Coordinator at Clinton High School as the May Gold Key winner. In just three short years, Mrs. Erwin has made an incredible mark on our school, improving graduation rates, increasing student attendance, and spearheading countless initiatives that have made a lasting impact on our school.
Under Sarah’s leadership, our Alternative Program has undergone a remarkable transformation. Not only did she help relocate the program into a new, more conducive building, but she also revitalized and enhanced all of our alternative education pathways, ensuring more students have the support and resources they need to succeed while keeping in mind the whole child and helping build a program that would work for the individual. Her dedication to helping every student find their path to success has truly been inspiring.
Sarah, your work here at Clinton High has been one of compassion, innovation, and commitment. You have worked tirelessly to make sure that students who may have been overlooked or faced challenges were given the opportunity to thrive. Your ability to see potential in every student and guide them toward success is a testament to your incredible skill as an educator and advocate.
While we will miss your leadership and presence at Clinton High, we are also filled with excitement for the future. We have no doubt that you will continue to inspire and lead, bringing the same passion and excellence that you brought to our school."
