GIRLS TENNIS: Please turn in your money for your team t-shirts and make sure your parents know that on Thursday, at 530 pm, at Max Lynn outdoor courts we will have our parent meeting. It will be short and sweet, with a treat to go.
Prom is May 3rd. Prom sign-up will be starting at the end of next week (April 4th). Get those Promposals done so you can get signed up when we drop the form. Make sure you are going to class & working hard to get/keep your grades passing. Out of School date forms are available in the library already. ISASP is coming up too and those tests need to be done to go to the dance so please plan to be at school on the testing days.
An admissions rep from Iowa State University will be visiting the counseling office on Thursday, March 27th at 9:00 am. Please let Mrs. Klinkhammer know if you are interested in attending.

Please check the due date on your library books. If they are overdue and you are still reading them please stop in and get them renewed, otherwise please return them so someone else can read them. If they are overdue too long they get marked as lost and a fee is added to Infinite Campus. The fee can be removed once the book gets returned but please just renew or return them before then.

Last night the River King Track and Field team competed in the North Scott Early Bird. The varsity Kings competed hard, finished fourth and had many PRs. Leading the way for the varsity Kings were: 2nd place Jordan Gruhn, high jump. 4x400 relay: Jayden Krogmann, Konnor Schroeder, Jordan Coleman, Joey Anderson. 4th place 4x200: Maddux Cooley, Coleman, Ronnie Abott-Lutton, Krogman. 4x800: Anderson, CJ Estes, Jordan Stafford, and Riley Engelkins. Shuttle Hurdle: Ethan Carpenter, Carter Dunham, Max Smith, Jay Dodd. JV Kings were led by: 2nd place 4x200 relay: Carpenter, Gruhn, Marshall Johnson, Hunter Ball. 3rd Place 800 medley relay: Ryne Freyer, Kayden Walters, Max Smith, Carter Dunham. 4x200: EJ fielder, Erik Harris, Ryne Freyer, Dallas Ralston. 4th place: 1600m medley relay: Fielder, Ralston, Cole Johnson, Connor Roberts. Our CHS orchestra students just wrapped up a phenomenal trip to Music City during Spring Break. They toured the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Historic Ryman Auditorium, and the National Museum of African American Music. They explored downtown Nashville, ate a lot of BBQ, saw a touring production of the musical Mamma Mia, and a live show at the Grand Ole Opry. The students also had a clinic with the director of orchestras at Vanderbilt University, and performed for the residents of a local senior living center.
Thank you to Mr. Rosales and our orchestra students for representing Clinton High School extraordinarily!

Congratulations to the CHS Speech Team on their Individual Events Competition on March 15th. Out of 12 events, 5 events received a Division 2 rating, including Alyssa Determan and Haylee House in Improv, Haylee Dolash and Mazzy Jensen in Original Oratory, and Sophia Morley in Reviewing. Seven events received a Division 1 rating, including Lillian Asay, Leilani Calvillo, and Mazzy Jensen in Musical Theater, Eloise Brisch in Expository Address, Rhys Bostic in After Dinner Speaking and Acting, and Alyssa Determan in Acting. Way to go!
A special congratulations to our All-State Speech Performers, Lillian Asay and Leilani Calvillo! They will be performing at the Individual Event All-State Festival at the University of Northern Iowa on Monday, March 31st, where they will present their musical theater pieces for an audience of students and spectators from across the state. If you see them this week, please congratulate them and wish them luck on their final performance!

The Queen Tennis Team will meet on Monday March 17th at the Max Lynn outdoor courts weather permitting from 11 am to 1 pm. If there is rain, we will play indoors at River Cities Tennis and Pickleball Courts. You MUST have a WHITE CARD to practice!

From now on if students park in the staff parking lot they will receive a ticket from the SRO. Make sure if you are a student who drives to school you are parking LEGALLY in the student parking lot or you will get a ticket.
If you are interested in trying girls golf this spring, please see Coach McEwen in Room 253 to get any information before the season starts. First day of practice is Monday, March 24th after Spring break. Open gym hitting is happening on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8pm in the Wellness Gym.

Congratulations to the River Royalty show choir on their 1st place in the Prep Division and 6th place overall at West Delaware’s Red Gala show choir competition. Leilani Calvillo also won an Outstanding Performer award. Good job to all the singers, band members and crew members on a great end to the season!
The River Queen Wrestling Team was awarded the IWCOA Academic All-State Award this weekend. This is a tremendous honor and we are so proud of the entire team setting a great example not only on the mat, but in the classroom as well. The River Queens were top ten in the state for team GPA. Great work ladies, we are so proud of you!

There is no food allowed on the upper floor of the library. You can not eat your lunch in any part of the library. If you are on the upper floor of the library you need to be sitting in one of the chairs. If the chairs are full you need to be on the main floor.
