The kings soccer team took on Davenport Central on Monday night. The jv kings kicked things off and fought hard to keep the game close. The boys generated a few great opportunities, but ultimately came away on the losing end. The varsity boys also took a tough loss against a strong Davenport team. The kings struggled to generate much offensively, but kept organized in the back to keep things close for most of the game. Chase Collender was selected as Man of the Match for both jv and varsity! Chase was strong in defense, fighting off several attacks that came down his side of the field. He also showed discipline to hold possession and advance the attack. The kings travel to Muscatine on Thursday to take on the Muskies.
