Reminder students that if you park in the Staff parking areas the tickets are $25. So make sure you are parking in the North student lot or student section of the South lot by Coan field.
We haven’t had a Golden Ticket Day yet for this semester... The Golden Ticket Day is a surprise, so aim to keep your grades above a B so when the day comes you get to go.
If you want to go to Prom, skipping your scheduled Flexes hurts you in two requirements. Attendance: flex is class time and counts against attendance if you're not there. Grades: you are scheduled to be in flex to help get your grade up. So make sure you are going to your flexes to get the assistance you need to get those grades up.
CHS International Club will meet Today, April 14 during Flex 2 in Mrs. Krueger's classroom.
The sign-up for Prom has started. Get signed up before 1:45 pm on April 24. The sooner the better. Talk with your friends to make sure they have signed up. Make sure you check in the library after you sign up to make sure it went through & to check on your requirements (grades, attendance, fees, & ISASP).
We are still taking the ISASP Test this week (Not Friday). Make sure you are bringing your computers & chargers to school everyday. The library doesn’t have a lot of loaners so you need to bring your computers & chargers for the testing. Also make sure you are showing up to class so you can get the tests done. They are important and we have aimed to give you plenty of time with the schedule.
You can’t be on any electronics after you finish your test. Stop in the library to check out a book to read once you are done with your testing, if you don’t already have one. Your reading time after testing can then be recorded in Beanstack for the new book challenge.
The reading challenge “Spring into Reading” will run for all of April. Keep logging your reading minutes in Beanstack.

After-School Tutoring is being offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45 in the Library! There is no cost. We have staff in most of the core classes available! Please ask a CHS teacher or administrator if you would like to attend! Great way to get those grades up for Prom or other surprise activities.
The varsity boys soccer team secured a big victory Saturday against Prince of Peace! The boys were strong in defense from the start, but it wasn't until after halftime that the offense settled in and dominated possession to take control. Adis Ravmonovski got the scoring started midway through the second half, assisted by Alonso Aguila. Then Kamden Organista cleaned up an opportunity to score his first goal of the season. Adis got involved again with an assist to Lincoln Hinrichs, who scored on a deflection to wrap things up at 3-0! Adis was selected as Man of the Match for his performance!
The River Queens were in action Monday at Duck Creek Golf Course. The Queens played well and continue to have improvements in overall team scores but are still not finding that first win despite playing much better golf this season. Team medalist today was Olivia Parker a 49 and her personal best. Also scoring were Olivia Veenstra 53, Bryleigh Shepherd 54, and A'Reyae Jetter 56. Audrie Bedford also played and continues to lower her personal best each time she goes out (59). The Queens have a break in action until next Wednesday and Thursday where they will be playing in the Falcon Invitational and Lancer Invitational back to back.
River Kings Tennis came out on top of a close one Monday against North Scott! The Kings held a narrow 2-1 lead after the doubles with wins from Vinnie Srp & Ryan Schmitz at #2 and Jace Burgland & Asher Dornbush at #3. The singles matches ended up split 3-3. Wins came from #3 Vinnie Srp, #5 Ryan Schmitz, & #6 Asher Dornbush. The team showed a lot of heart in this one! Great job Kings!

Clinton River Queens Shine at Assumption Invitational 💪🏽👑 The Clinton River Queens had a strong showing Saturday at the Davenport Assumption Invitational, highlighted by multiple event champions, top finishes, and big-time performances across the board. Finishing 5th out of 13 teams. 🔥 Event Champions: Carryn Sattler dominated the 800m, taking 1st place with a time of 2:24.49. Elle Lonergan cleared 5’6” to win the High Jump in impressive fashion. Aubrey Fergurson brought home gold in the Shot Put with a throw of 36-9.25. 🥈 Runner-Up Finishes: Aubrey Rivers placed 2nd in the 3000m (11:19.34) PR 6th in RQTF history. Cambyl Sattler earned 2nd in the 1500m (5:04.42) PR 7th in RQTF history. Distance Medley Relay team finished 2nd in a tight race (4:27.95) team of Jensen, Davis, Sattler, Sattler. 🥉 Other Top Performances: Joselyn Petersen – 3rd in Long Jump (15-1.75). Madyson MacAvoy – 5th in 400m hurdles (1:19.99). Dorianna Hill – 7th in High Jump PR. Zoey Seitz – 8th in Shot Put. Aubrey Fergurson-4th in Discus. Maloree Byrns- 6th in Discus. 💥 The River Queens also showed depth with strong efforts across sprints, distance, relays, and field events, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses. Proud of the effort, competitiveness, and fight from this group—back to work and getting better every meet!

Due to some students making poor choices the upper level of the library will be CLOSED during Flexes for at least the rest of the week. If you come to the library during flex you will need to be on the main level.
We are taking the ISASP Test for the next two weeks (Not Friday). Make sure you are bringing your computers & chargers to school everyday. Synergy is hosting a coin drive for My Gear Outreach, a program that supports foster kids when going into care. Donation cups will be in every classroom and the homeroom with the most change collected will be rewarded with the choice of breakfast pizzas or donuts! Cups collected today the 9th, may the best homeroom win!

River Kings Tennis hosted DeWitt on Wednesday. Even though the team fought hard, we were unable to take any matches from the #7 ranked 1A team. The closest match came at #3 doubles with Jace Burgland and Asher Dornbush who narrowly lost by a few points. We’ll keep working to close that gap. Go Kings!

Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in becoming an electrician. We will have a site visit to the Quad City Electrical Training Center in Moline, Illinois on Friday, April 10. This will be the visit to the Local 45 training facility. Seating is still available. See Jim Bengtson, in the library office today for further details.

River Kings Tennis opened the season on the road against Davenport Central. The team battled through some frigid conditions and came out on top, winning 7 out of 9 matches. Last night, the River Queen soccer squad traveled to Muscatine High school to open MAC Conference play for this season. The JV Queens opened the action and dropped a close match to Muscatine by a score of 1-0. The JV team fielded a number of new young athletes who bring soccer skills to the table, so watch out for this group moving forward! The Varsity Queens ran into a solid Muskie team and were defeated by a score of 4-0. Clinton was only down 2-0 at the half, and gave up two more goals in the second half. Brooklyn Cooley notched 10 saves in the effort. Over the past four seasons Clinton has lost to Muscatine by a score of 10-0 each year! So, real progress is being made, and it's showing up in the fight the girls are putting up every time they take the pitch! Thank you to the supporters who came out last night to cheer on the River Queens!! The Queens are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Geneseo to take on the Maple Leafs. JV action starts at 4:30 and the Varsity kicks off at 6:00pm at Geneseo High School.

Attention ALL BOYS AND GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS! We will have a volleyball open gym tonight (Wednesday) in the Wellness Gym from 7:30-9:00pm!
Due to some students making poor choices the upper level of the library will be CLOSED during Flexes for at least the rest of the week. If you come to the library during flex you will need to be on the main level.
We are taking the ISASP Test for the next two weeks. Make sure you are bringing your computers & chargers to school everyday. The library doesn’t have a lot of loaners so you need to bring your computers & chargers for the testing. Also make sure you are showing up to class so you can get the tests done. They are important and we have aimed to give you plenty of time with the schedule.
You can’t be on any electronics after you finish your test. Stop in the library to check out a book to read once you are done with your testing, if you don’t already have one. Your reading time after testing can then be recorded in Beanstack for the new book challenge.
Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in becoming an electrician. We will have a site visit to the Quad City Electrical Training Center in Moline, Illinois on Friday, April 10. Synergy is hosting a coin drive for My Gear Outreach, a program that supports foster kids when going into care. Donation cups will be in every classroom and the homeroom with the most change collected will be rewarded with the choice of breakfast pizzas or donuts! Cups fully collected on the 9th, may the best homeroom win!

On Saturday, the River Queens traveled to Open their Soccer season at Orion Invite. The Queens shut out their first opponent, Galena, by a score 4-0. Scoring for the Queens was Alli Haskell with three goals and Lilly Hankins with one score!! Assisting on the scoring were Mena Albaghdaadi and Addy Cramm. The second match was a tough windy battle and the Queens lost the match 2-1 against a disciplined Orion squad. Clinton's lone goal was scored by Alli Haskell. Brooklyn Cooley made nine saves to keep the Queens close! It was a close match, and the Queens fought hard!! The Queens open their season with a record of 1-1. Clinton is back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Muscatine. The JV Queens start the action with a 5:45 kickoff. The Varsity takes the field around 7:30. Thank you to the fans who came out to support the Queens in Orion, we appreciate the love!! Go Queens!!
The Kings participated in the Solon Spartan Triangular Saturday morning. The boys took on West Branch to start the day, and came out strong, with Adis Ravmonovski latching onto a ball from Alan Cruz and putting it away for the early lead. West Branch equalized before halftime, but Adis tallied a second after a keeper mistake and gave the Kings a 2-1 victory! The boys followed that up with a game against Solon. The team couldn't get much going on offense throughout the game, but managed to stay composed defensively. Solon found the net twice in the first and again in the second to take the match 3-0. Man of the Match honors went to Adis Ravmonovski and Brady Kurtz for their performances in the two games. The kings look to build on the successes of the day on Monday when they travel to Davenport to take on the Central Blue Devils.
