We are delighted to announce that Clinton High School has been selected to receive a Mathical Collection Development Award to expand our library’s collection of literary fiction and nonfiction books to encourage kids to discover a love of mathematics. CHS is one of 36 libraries in K–12 Title I schools nationwide to be presented with this $850 grant to purchase award-winning titles from the Mathical Book Prize list. We’re excited to share these books with our students! The grant is awarded by the Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute in partnership with School Library Journal.

CCSD has hired our first graduate who completed her degree through the TPRA (Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship) Program. She will be a Strategist I: Mild/Moderate Teacher at Eagle Heights.
Lauren shared: "I feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity! Going through this program has assisted me with purchasing textbooks and has covered the entirety of the cost for schooling. Without this opportunity I most likely would not have gone back to school after getting my first bachelor's degree in 2020. This has truly been a full circle experience as I am working within schools that I attended as a student alongside the amazing teachers that I was lucky enough to be taught by. I am thrilled to be on this journey and I cannot wait to positively impact my students now and in the future in my position at Eagle Heights!"

Congratulations to Josh and the entire J.T. Concrete Contractors team!
The J.T. Concrete Contractors team has completed many projects for CCSD. We always appreciate their dedication and professionalism. J.T. Concrete Contractors also donated the material and labor of the Duke Slater statue concrete/base. Josh has always been a "passionate advocate for the improvement of our community," as Jamie Schroeder-Ries, CHS Associate Principal, shared at last night's board meeting. Thank you, Josh and team!

The Royal Solar Field Update | December 2024
Site activities at The Royal Solar Field are slowing down as things get buttoned up in preparation for winter. All of the support structures and solar panels are in place, while crews will continue with wiring as weather allows. Final electrical components arrive in the spring, at which point the project will be placed into service!

Congratulations, Renae!
Eagle Heights 3rd Grade Teacher
First response cont.: "However, during Homecoming and graduation walks through Eagle Heights when my once second or third graders are now seniors in high school and they still stop to give me a hug and tell me how much of an impact I had on them is also just as rewarding. I love working with students and watching them persevere and seeing how proud they are when their hard work has paid off and they now understand something new. I value all of the families that I have had the opportunity to partner with as well. I 'get' to come to work each day but truly feel blessed to be a part of Eagle Heights and will forever cherish the many fond memories created with students, families and colleagues - my school family!"
Second response cont.: "Clinton Schools remind me of this quote, 'Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.' That belief is the Clinton Schools - we serve amazing students and families and we are successful because there are so many professionals that are committed to excellence in every way! So, again, I am SO PROUD to be a part of the Clinton Schools!"
