Eagle Heights 3rd Grade Teacher
First response cont.: "However, during Homecoming and graduation walks through Eagle Heights when my once second or third graders are now seniors in high school and they still stop to give me a hug and tell me how much of an impact I had on them is also just as rewarding. I love working with students and watching them persevere and seeing how proud they are when their hard work has paid off and they now understand something new. I value all of the families that I have had the opportunity to partner with as well. I 'get' to come to work each day but truly feel blessed to be a part of Eagle Heights and will forever cherish the many fond memories created with students, families and colleagues - my school family!"

Clinton CSD has developed a new Special Education Service Delivery Plan after convening a diverse committee and reviewing with stakeholders. Special Education Service Delivery Plans need to be reviewed and revised every five years. This plan is being shared with the community for public comment, and can be viewed here: https://5il.co/31qoy . We welcome public comments, which will be considered through December 9, 2024. Public comments may be directed to Director of Student Services, Rhea Wright, via email (rhea.wright@csdkq.org) or phone (563-243-9600 ext. 1140). We thank the public for helping the district fulfill its mission in educating ALL children to their highest level of achievement using engaging curriculum in a caring community.
As you may know, Just Like Caitlin books were donated to all Iowa 2nd graders on November 13th. So awesome!
The CHS Girls Basketball Team visited Eagle Heights, presented the books to the students and read to them!

For a second year in a row, Clinton Middle School had a select choir perform for KWQC's Choirs of Christmas program, which will air before and on Chriatmas Day! We can't wait to see their bright, smiling faces ON TV!

We spent the rest of class sharing not just what we appreciated about ourselves - but about others. This is just one example of how incredible the students are. They surprise me and their insight always makes my lessons better."
CCSD Plant Services Dept.:
Congratulations to Theresa Stahl, who retired on November 11th after 30 years and 6 months!
She has been the Head Custodian at Whittier for 23 of those years, and will miss the kids dearly. She kept a very well organized school and Whittier and Plant Services wish her the best!
She mentioned that she is looking forward to spending time with the grandkids, and that she will not miss clearing the entrances of snow in the winters.
Thanks for your dedication to the district, Theresa!

Did you know CCSD received three McKinney-Vento Sub-Grants? Please read the information attached.
1. M-V Transportation Grant provided $30,000 for a vehicle to transport homeless students
2. M-V Resource Hub Grant provided $10,000 to provide items homeless students/families may need at EAC (washer/dryer, bedding, towels, hygiene items, etc.)
3. The other M-V Grant allows us to provide whatever item or resource is needed - counseling, medical, glasses, etc.

Whittier held their first monthly "Perfect Attendance" celebration for all students with perfect attendance August 26-September 30! They recognized 154 kids!

Jefferson Elementary is making their attendance goal of 95% or better for the year! We know if kids are at school, we will continue to see growth both academically and socially!

The Plant Services Department is pleased to announce that CCSD qualifies for energy rebates that allow us to upgrade our gym lighting throughout the district. Our staff is in the process of replacing older lighting with new energy efficient high bay LED fixtures. The coverage in the picture looks much better in person!
