Scanlan Center for School Mental Health Clinic
We are excited to announce that our clinic has expanded access to its services. While school staff can continue to make referrals for students ages 10 and up, parents can also now directly request short-term individual counseling and child psychiatry services for their children. Families can choose between virtual care or in-person visits at the Iowa City clinic.
For students to receive virtual counseling during school hours, referrals must still come through school mental health professionals, administrators, or AEA staff. K-12 school staff in Iowa can self-refer for individual or group counseling. Please share this expanded option with your school community's families. Email scsmh-clinic@uiowa.edu with questions.
